Well, E-chick's vote is out. I have efm and jd1. I guess I win! Better luck next time Steve! To make sure precedent is set for the future, judges send cigars based on the one they thought was best. Not the overall winner. rlr68 was ready to go. But after e-mails, we have decided to cancel on account of good weather. It would be expensive and a pain in the a*s to ensure no more melted cheesecakes. Sorry to the round 2 judges. We will get it started again in the fall and you guys will get first chance to judge! It was fun. Thanks to everyone involved.

First cigars are in! Smithbw sent some good sticks for my test run. Very generous Billy. Lots of good smokin' there! efm can't count. I guess that's to be expected around here. Great smokes! Thanks fellas! Makes the hard work worth it.

A package arrived here from efm ... going by it's contents, it would appear that I in fact won the contest on his scorecard, since it appears he sent (at least) the winner's prize to me ...

In a word: wow! ... in five: thank you very much, sir

that was beyond the call by any measure ... (must mention that I was blown completely away to see one of my favorite of all cigars, a Torano Signature toro included ... I could not contain myself and it caught on fire right after dinner ... how sweet it was).

Cigars sent...I sent both of you the same ones since I think you are both great and offered up some great efforts in the contest...

I'm bummed that I wasn't able to eat either of yours (LOL - how's that for an innuendo?)...

I just hope that the 'gars are to your liking since I pulled from my humi and didn't hit the cigar shop...

LMK when you get them so I won't stress...

Enjoy,

Marla

Got Hoagie's package today. Great smokes! An HdM that looks to be about 8X56. Gonna take all day for that one!

I too got a package from Hoagie today ... it would seem Hoagie has a crystal ball and has been able to divine some of my favorite smokes ... I really think that I should bake more cheesecakes ...

E-chick sent me a very nice package too! I believe this inaugural round of the Cheesecake Bakeoff is a success. If everybody is as happy as I am, this is definately something we must do again!

Got some VERY nice packages today from both jd1 and from e-chick ... hard to think of myself as the loser in this contest ... frankly, I'm a bit humbled by the experience and think the judges got confused as to which cheesecake was whose and sent me the winner prizes ... only possible explanation.

Thanks to Tim for setting it up ... thanks to all four judges for the prizes ... the whole bunch of you are some very special friends ...
