I have an MRI tomorrow for a pain that I've had in my, uh, no...not ass, not neck, but in my left temple.

It hit me like a ton of bricks the day that my dad had his stroke in December (before I knew about it - I'm a bit psychic AND ok, psycho) and the pain keeps recurring...

So, now I'm scared...

Just send some good thoughts my way at 1030 am my time ...please...

THANKS!

Marla

Marla, as always my thoughts and prayers are coming your way.

MRI's are pretty cool from the technological side. I use to work for a medical electronics company. Faroutfignoogen

Upon your return home update the post. Let us know if they find anything... oh wait, I am sure they will find a brain under that CAO cap, you know what I mean.

XOXOXO

Marla,
Of course our prayers will go out to you. You're like family... we don't get to choose you and we have to like you regardless.

Best wishes to you and may God bless you.

Good luck, Marla. Remember that lots of things can cause cephalgia and most of them aren't serious. My main worry is that they will find a tiny slimboli stomping around and screaming "Let me out!" inside your head. ;)

Prayers out to you. At least you're doing something about the situation. This is just a test. If there's nothing there, then your worries were for naught. If there is...email me.

The worst part is not knowing, and you're doing something about THAT!

KIDDO!!

tell the radiologist you want to read the scan with him when the procedure is over. sometimes they are pains in the ass and won't. if he says you'll have to talk to the doctor, it doesn't mean anything other then he is an ass hole (is that one word or two)

when you drive home tomorrow after the mri shows nothing in your head that shouldn't be there, have a good cry of relief. listen to your md.

then go see a chiropracter that is competant with an activator. toby had pains that felt like a knife being stuck in her head that would last 30 seconds or a minute. the chiropractor released a pinched nerve 4 years ago and hasen't had the pain since.

he or she has to be certified as "Advanced Certified Doctor in Activator Methods" that means he is trained and tested and knows his stuff.

WHEW!

I made it! I wish I would have thought to ask to view the results...I was too nervous to think I guess.

So, now it's a 2-3 day wait...he did shoot me up with some brain juice so the doc could see things more clearly...I just hope it adds a few points to my I.Q. - LOL!

You guys are awesome as usual with your support. I can't thank you enough.

The whole thing took just about 40 minutes. I prayed the ENTIRE time...first for calm (so I wouldn't move) and then for gratitude for great support from you all and then for about 30 minutes for our troops, the powers that be, and the Iraqi people...it got me threw without thinking about the 'what ifs'...

Rick, I want to thank you for your time and efforts...I do have a great DC...her name is Dr. Savage...can you believe it!? I've seen her for the past 14 years. You may be absolutely right with your diagnosis. Or at least I hope you are right!

Any way, thanks a million...you are all the best! I'll let you know the results when I can...

XO,
Marla

Just read this Maria, YOU WILL BE FINE!! I hate to shout but you live a long ways from here. I did the MRI route a couple of years ago. I fell asleep twice. Boy did I PO a couple of docs. Old habits, like sleeping when and where you can die hard. LOL

Glad it's all done with, Marla. You will be in my prayers in the days ahead. My hope and prayer is that it will be nothing at all that a bit of chiropractic and a few aspirin can't put right again. Blessings!

In the 1934 World Series, Cardinal pitcher Dizzy Dean was running from first to second base, and came in without sliding, hoping that by doing so, he'd alter the throw to first and break up a double play ... the ball, however, struck him flush in the forehead and knocked him out cold ... he was taken out on a stretcher and to the hospital for x-ray ...

When he walked into the clubhouse the following day, he loudly said "good news guys!! the docs x-rayed my head, and there was nuthin' there" ...

Marla, we're all sure that's what we gonna hear from you when you give us the report ...

Marla, as usual I'm a day late and a dollar short. I have been away from the boards for a few days and just learned of your trouble. Whether the news is good or bad, I am sure you will come out the other side O.K. Your kind heart and thoughtful ways will see you through this.

Little minds are tamed and subdued by misfortune; but great minds rise above them.

We're thinking about ya Marla. Everything will work out, it always does.

Whenever I'm faced with something potentially serious what I try to do is: Use it as an excuse to get out of helping around the house. It turns the whole experience into something very positive and beautiful for me. YMMV.

OK...are you sitting down?

I can't believe it myself.

With ALL of the pain that I am experiencing...

The Nurse called...not the Doctor...the Nurse.

She said that my M.R.I. is COMPLETELY normal...my brain is a bit larger than most, but...JUST KIDDING!

I'm astounded...I really have had some bad pain. There is sure a lot to be said for the power of prayer! Now, if y'all could focus on HEALING the pain!

LOL!!!

I can't thank you all enough...I truly love you guys! It's sure nice to know that besides your family, there are others that care and just to know that you've 'got my back'...it means a lot...

Off to the Chiropractor on Monday!

WHEW! You can breath now...

E-Chick : I didn't want to say anything till after your test results were in but I'm pretty sure I know what's causing the pain. I think it's a build up of gas because it seems to me it has been a long time since you mentioned about having a brain fart. LOL Glad everything is okay. JonR

Marla,

Oh my God, I just read this. I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner. Thank God you're ok. I am so glad that your MRI turned out well. I'll say a prayer for you anyway just to say thanks.

Now..E-chick,

I would think that Michael would need a little probing to find out what is causing the pain in his ass but somehow, I have the feeling that he knows where that is coming from. I believe the technical term for that is a spousal migrain.

All my love hopes and prayers are with you and your family for easter. I'm glad you're ok.
