OK. It was easy to ban the Dixie Chunks because I'm not a country music fan to begin with.
But now Bruce Springsteen has chimed in with his letter that was sent to every media source in America. If you haven't read it or heard about it, the Boss is standing by his musically inept peers and claiming that they had the right to slam our President on foreign soil on the eve of war, but we as American citizens do not have the right to profess our disdain by refusing to buy their products.
He calls the unofficial boycott "Un-American".
The one time blue collar crooner has fallen into the hypocritical liberalism that I've come to loathe.

For the record, I agree that the pasty faced threesome has the right to say what they like. But I also feel that American consumers have the right to disagree and to show their displeasure by refusing to listen to or purchase their "music".
Let's just hope that Springsteen does not continue this battle.
I do, afterall, have tickets to see him in August...

"the pasty faced threesome" i thought singers were to be judged on their talent not appearance.

i have never heard them sing, so i have no idea if they sing well.

i guess you haven't put a deposit on hillary's book to be.

I'd like to "leave a deposit" on Hillery's book... I could use a few pages to wipe up afterwards...

I agree with tailgater. Say what you want, buy or don't buy what you want. Or like me, ignore the whole thing!

The BIGGEST irony would be "the boss" singing Born In The USA to crickets. Americans will soon forget the poor behavior of people that have been elevated on pedastals.

I wouldn't go.

Born and raised in Jersey but never cared for Springsteen. He's very talented, I've just never took to his sound. I was more of a "punk" at the time.

I am suprised to hear him say something like that. I alway thought of him as a "real person" type entertainer and not using his success as a vehicle for his opinions.

I will not endorse anyone that doesn't support our troups and the US.

Joe, go see Charlie Daniels if you want to see a kick ass America loving performer play, but I guess there is just no way to get all of these "celebrities", stars and hopefuls on the Love America theme. It is your call as to who you pay money to see and listen to, and it is tough when someone that made a fortune of "Born in the USA" acts like a geeky tree hugger!

I expected more from Springsteen, but once again he lets us down...........As for Dixie Chicks, I am like Rick, as I have never knowingly listened to their music and always thought of them as a pop type group.

Go see Terminator III this summer and support a true American (not born in the USA)!

Rick, although I have heard some of the Dixie Chunks songs, I have every right to describe them as I see fit.
It is not their music that has brought them notoriety. And with their noteriety has come constant news coverage with pictures and/or video.
They truly are "pasty faced".
I don't understand your concern.
And as for Hillary, I wouldn't buy that carpet-bagging socialist bitch's book with your money.
