Mag,

What's up with the Raiders' draft?? I truly believe Al Davis is senile.

By the way....the Pack picked up projected 1st rounder Kenny Petersen in the 3rd round..the steal of the draft!

GO PACK!!!....OK, Lets start early..lol.

Ducati, just got home from watching a Stanford vs Arizona baseball game with my Wife & SteveS and his Wife. Great game! Stanford won 10-9 in a comeback.

I missed the draft. I'll have to get on the RAIDER'S site & see whats up.

Sorry Mag,

I am sure you are hurting after seeing the Raiders draft in the first round. But the USC running back isn't bad.

Unless the Raiders draft a QB who won't throw 712 interceptions in the superbowl, the draft won't sit well with Raydah Nashun'.

Gater, your Patriots must not have much going, since all you do is rip the Raiders.

If you notice, I brag about MY team. I'm not worried about what other teams did or didnt do, unless it directly affects the Raiders.

I guess since the Patriots will not even get to the big game again, ripping other teams helps ease the frustration.

Its OK, if ya wanna put your money where your mouth is, lets bet on which team gets closest to the Supperbowl or in it.

I was worried they'd use the Buc's pick to move up even further in the draft, but then I forgot that Al Davis is a real doofus!

Looks like the Buc's made out! THEY got the steal of this year's draft, and coach that demands results and a Super Bowl trophy!

PS: I'm STILL an Eagle fan, Bucs...#2!

Nothing in the world wrong with the Raiders draft yesterday ... and I'm not even particularly a Raider fan ... not all that many years ago, the 9ers drafted a guy out of Mississippi Valley State that quite a few folks said "huh?" about at the time, but no one says that now when his name is mentioned ... perhaps the Cal boy the Raiders drafted won't be on quite that same level (but then, who IS?) but my guess is, he'll be a lot better than he's being credit for being in this thread ... time'll tell.

And BTW ... in regard to Mag's mention of the ballgame we saw together yesterday ... what an extremely pleasant day MrsS and I had in the company of Mag and his lovely wife ... a couple of good cigars and a couple of brews along with company that was as good as it gets and the home team won under a beautiful blue sky at one of the prettiest baseball diamonds in the country ... it just doesn't get better than that.

Mag, the only thing that would make annoying you sweeter would be if you were a jets fan.

I am sorry, but I have to agree about the senile old fool and his "draft"! They flat out wasted the pick that they gained from Tampa Bay.

Hope the Chiefs did not throw their first round pick away on Larry Johnson of Penn State, since the only Penn State running backs to ever do anything in pros were, Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell both long, long ago!

Ducatti, Sorry that the Bears took Grossman. I hear your Pack coveted him. Don't worry though, the Bears will find a way to waste his talent and he'll be out of the NFL within three years! LOL

Mag, the last time the Raiders won the big one was back in the 70's and they needed an ex-Patriots QB to do it. I thought the same thing would happen this time, but gannon became color blind.

Seems to me that last season you cried about bashing the Raider "fans", now you're crying about bashing the team.
Tell me which subjects are OK to bash so you won't get your panties all tied up in a knot. But don't worry, we all know they're black and silver.

Gater, now I know not to listen to your bull. The RAIDERS won the superbowl in 76, 80, 83. Dont play with me when you dont have any facts.

Besides that, I dont care if someone is commenting on the RAIDERS before or after a game against whatever tean you are for. But to make it your weekly team to pic on is a little too much.

Your team has one great season and you think that they are the best thing since sliced bread. Well wake up!

I asked you now twice if you want to bet. Its now obvious that you arent going for it. Chicken? Dont have confidence like I do?

The RAIDERS have had a more exciting & interesting history in the NFL than the Pats will EVER have.

Now for the last time put up or shut up. I dont think you have the confidence to do anything more tham shoot off your mouth. Thats cheap talk, put your money where your mouth is for the last time.

Next time you make a lame comment I'll rip YOU one so bad YOU wont be able to sit for a week!!!!!!!!!

Damn!
I forgot about those 80's wins.
I got lost in the "ex-patriots QB" analogy.

As for "one good season...blah...sliced bread...blah" I've thought the Pats to be great even before their victory two seasons ago.

My non-wager does not make me "chicken" as you suggest. I never place bets this far in advance to the season opener. Too many variables.

Either way, you shouldn't get so overworked by my attack. If the Raiders finished last, I wouldn't waste my time.

And one of my fondest football memories was about 16 months ago at the now infamous Snowbowl.

I wish there were boisterous Jets fans on this board so I could spread the joy and pick on them.
