This is the final stick in the bundle of mystery sticks sent by penguin13. And IMHO, he numbered the best for last.
#10 is about a 4.5x50 robusto. The prelight aroma alone wants me to believe this is a Fuente Chateau Fuente Sungrown. Held this one up to the proboscis quite a few times before finally toasting the foot and setting it ablaze. Beauty of a wrapper; few veins; really has that Fuente quality all over it. Drew like a dream and mountains of smoke. Medium-body but spicy. I like spicy. Not overwhelmingly spicy, but that kinda spicy us sungrown fans enjoy. Did I say I like a little spice? Kinda sungrown like spice? This one has it.
The bunch is firm and this one has some heft to it. Good amount of tobacco in there. Even burn just slightly off kilter but straightened itself out just fine. White ash again like a Fuente sungrown. It held on for over an inch and half.
Had to remove the band on this 'cause I smoked it to the nub. Never harsh, never building into anything really spectacular, just an honest to goodness sungrown stick.
I'm going to second and third guess myself and also go with an Oliva O Ole or Occidental Havana Sungrown respectively.
On a scale of 1 - 10 penguins, this final stick in the list rates just a hair over #9 at 7.5+
What is it?
Thanks again penguin13! This was a real pleasure and allowed me to really seek out some of the subtleness in these sticks. Most were straightforward middle of the road stogies that you can't go wrong with ('cept of course that Pimp Stick, but that's all I've got ta say 'bout thaaat...)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
