I have just finished smoking an absolutely wonderful cigar ... from Perdomo, it is their new Estate Seleccion “Regente” Cameroon, described by Perdomo as follows:
The Estate Seleccion, crafted with an OVS1S Cameroon wrapper will be officially released at RTDA 2003 in Nashville, TN. Tabacalera Perdomo has very recently pre-released this cigar only to appointed Estate Seleccion retailers. “OVS1S” is the finest grade of Cameroon tobacco available in the marketplace.
Filler/Binder: Nicaragua. Wrapper: African Cameroon OVS1S.
As many of you know, I am a big fan of Perdomo ... but this cigar is one of the best medium bodied smokes I've enjoyed in quite some time. The appearance and construction are flawless, the wrapper is smooth and even. It has a slow, even burn that I "touched up" only once, the draw is perfect and the smoke rich and plentiful. I've never been one to detect hints of anything other than tobacco in cigars, and this is no exception ... the taste is one of very good rich, mellow tobacco, never a bit harsh or hot, it is smooth and evenly medium bodied from start to finish, an immensely satifying smoke.
Highly Recommended and, IMO, sure to score a 90 or better.
