After enjoying my nightly cigar I like to look up a review to compare my tates with the masses. Where is the best place to do so? I usually use cigarweekly.com but they don't have a lot of info. I'm looking for something better. And I bet somebody here can help me out! Thanks

I've found Smoke magazine to be the most subjective, as their panelists do blind tastings ...

http://www.smokemag.com

There is also the one that Cigar Aficionado has ... but I'm not too confident with their results based on some (maybe unfounded) rumors that are floating around ...

I second smokemag.com, they have a large inventory of reviews. I also like top25cigar.com for the huge amount of first hand reviews.

"Where is the best place to do so?"

in the toilet. where other people's reviews for cigar magazines belong.

if most of the guys here laugh at some of the garbage i smoke like bad frogs, be assured they are truthful.
you are the judge. i have found for example the victor sinclair vintage box pressed at $80.00 a box are excellent for my taste. to me the poderozas that i have bought for about $5.00 a bundle, taste the same.

my personal quest for "a good 5 cent cigar" has led me to a lot of bad cigars. every so often i do find a good cigar on auction that is super special.

mag sent me a bohemian revolution that beat any isom i ever smoked and and fuente x or xxx or y or whatever. again only personal preference.

before i opened my mouth i could get a box of bohemian revolutions in a fancy ammo box for less then $50.00. i have 5 boxes stacked with 2 or 3 more coming. i notice the $50.00 and under bridge has closed and a new improved price range is being built by the guys.

i do still have a few brands i don't mention on the boards, so all is not lost.

remember, like a woman, even a bad cigar
is better then not getting any at all..

Well said Rick. I am a cheap b@st@rd as well. I will be happy to spend $100 on 200 cigars that I like then $100 on 10 cigars that everyone tells me that I should like because it is a: "XXX Cuban Seed ,Grown in Arturo Fuente's Back Yard' in Soil imported from Cuba Hand Picked by H.Upmann himself, Fermented in King Tut's Tomb for 20 years, Hand Rolled by Arturo Himself, Box Pessed,Super Viejo Fuerte Fuerte Triple Capped mofo king of all cigars!"

I'm going in the yard now and lighting up one of my cheap a$$ed Felipe II's that I just discovered that I like. Yeah I like the good stuff too, but I keep those aside for special occasions or times where I can actually sit and relax for longer then 20 minutes.

Since I got my shipment...I haven't seen them here since. I bought a box of 25 from a competing site...ran me .75 a cigar even after shipping was tossed in. Felipe II.

If you want one of those "mofo of all cigars"...it'll run you $8,000 per cigar...but its rated a 107 on the CA scale (after Arturo paid $1,300,000 for them to feature the "mofo").

But according to CA it's a steal at that price. Fidel Castro closed down three elementary schools to purchase a box of them.

Rayder -

you must be inferring to none other than the ....

SALAZAR DIPLOMATICO

- you know - they were only $800.00 / bx/20 a few short years back ... glad I stocked up ... the only real dilemma is deciding when to light one up ... either somebody has to have died, been born, or just got married or divorced ... that's the only time I can justify smoking one ...

- how many do you have left and when is that last time you smoked any of yours? Last one I lit up - was on 2K New Year's ....
