I wouldn’t consider this competition if I was CI, so I’ll post this and they can remove it if they feel differently. AVO is giving away a free robusto to any on signing up at http://www.avocigars.com/ and paying $2 for delivery. I saw the ad in Playboy and wanted to pass it on. Enjoy

Thanks, but isn't another way of looking at this, a 5 pack for 10 bux? You can get better deals right here on the boards...

Trinidad is (or was) doing a promo like that. You just send them a copy of your driver's license and they send you a cigar. I got mine in February. Pretty good smoke.

I recieved mine 3 days ago. 2$

Comes with a catalog and other info. Smoked it last night. I thought it was OK, it started out not tasting so good, then about a third of the way down it tasted fine & was smooth. Wasnt very impressed. Glad I was able to get just one to try.

I've never smoked an Avo. Reason being I have never seen a 5 pack for even CLOSE to $10. Mine's on the way.

Exactly. The Avo 5-packs rarely sell for under $15 or $16 on the site, so $2 for a trial isn't bad at all. I got mine yesterday and I'm letting it rest for a few days before I light it up.

Mine's coming as well. I'll give mine a month or so. These are coming straight from the importer...so they are probably "young" by comparison.

I've had AVO and they are best when given time to stabilize.

Good deal! Mine's on its way too! Considering the 5-pack costs here and that my local merchants charge upwards of $6-$8 for these things, I'm happy to fork $2 for this.

Tried a #2 last week. Great construction, draw and burn. Beyond that it didn't do it for me. Might as well roll up the $7 and light that. IMHO. Your results may vary.

I agree DED absolutely superb construction on these babies. Just too mild and lacking flavor. Probably have a lot of appeal to the macanudo crowd.

Don't rate all AVOs by this one. There are some more powerful AVOs out there. Look at the literature that you get with your $2.00 cigar and you will see that this is from their mild line. Try one of the others and you'll get a more powerful punch!

I happen to enjoy their maduro line. I've been wanting to try one of every line, specifically the XO line.

I have tried and I enjoy the Avo #2 maddie. I went to this web site because I to would like to try one, but NOOOOOOOO I live in the wonderful Commonwealth of Massachusetts and they won’t send them to Massachusetts. It must be them bleeding heart liberals’ again. I can get food stamps, welfare and paid abortion but I can’t get a freaking free cigar. What a state….

Don't forget the great position changing Senator John Kerry. The Commonwealth is the only state that has worse Senators than Californias double of nothing, Feinstein and Boxer!

Concur with Charlie. California has the absolute WORST senators of any State in the Union.
