I like most of the reality shows okay. This one really rivets me! You get to watch a true craftsman create a motorcycle masterpiece and his Dad fly off the handle at the least excuse. Of course Junior eggs him on! I find it very entertaining.

It's on the Discovery Channel. They air it several times a week. First airing is Monday. I just saw the first installment of the Firetruck Bike tonight. It's going to be the best yet. The Fighter Jetbike is my favorite so far. They've also done the Black Widow and the Racecar Bike. All very cool and very custom!

I'm still a big fan of Jesse James ...

... the skill and creativity that goes into converting street cars into something they're not, and still having them look like they just came off the dealer's lot is something else.

... and he's famous for building some pretty 'sick' bikes too!

My wife and I caught American Chopper at 11:00 PM last night. It was a replay of the first installment of the firefighter bike. It looks to be pretty cool! Wouldn't you just love to have a motivator like the father as your boss?

I like Jesse James too. I first noticed him on some specials on the Discovery channel where he built some spectacular bikes. He made headlines when he made a custom chopper for Shaquille O'Neal. The funny thing about him is that he is a better marketer than a bike builder. They make the majority of their money from selling t-shirts, other clothing, and novelties off their website than they do making motorcycles. I read an interesting article on him in the small business journal. It seems that he doesn't have that good of a reputation in the motor cycle world, but he has a good reputation with celeberties and other rich people who can afford to pay the high prices for his bikes.

Anyway, the remaking of the PT Cruiser into a shredding machine was a little disappointing. They have had better themes on Monster Garage that this one before.

I saw the episode with the Jet bike on tonight. It was pretty incredible the way the made that bike look. With the tank like an airplane, the fins on the fender, oil tank, it was really amazing. A little too long IMO, but a really neat bike.
