Ok guys, we still have some little details to iron out but here is what we have so far.
The Herf will take place on Saturday June 21st at Monocacy Park in Bethlehem. We reserved a Pavilion to use. Here are the directions I have so far:
Directions from Rt. 22

Take the Rt. 512 Exit and turn left onto 512 (Center St) Go about 4
miles and look for Illicks Mill Rd. Take a right, at the bottom of the
hill turn left into the parking lot. Once parked cross the street and
walk down to the pavilions located on the right of the creek. It should
be the second pavilion.
If you need better directions just let us know and we will be happy to help out.
Once there , we are suppose to have the 2nd Pavilion from the parking lot. Just follow the smoke.

The details we have to iron out yet are as follows:

The event will be BYOB ,BYOF and BYOC. But we need to hash out what everyone is going to bring, so we dont have 12 cases of beer. I think that will probally be alittle over baord. So when we see how many people and who are coming , we can have certain people bring certain things.
Does this sound ok to everyone?

Also, the park only allows beverages in cans, no bottles. There are charcoal grills there that we can use as well. Picnic tables with seats etc, and the creek does have a few trout in it for those fishermen out there.

Sounds good to me. I'll mark down the 21st on my calander.
Why not 12 cases of Beer??? LOL
Have you firmed up anything from cigar reps yet( coming or sending samples)??
How far is the park from CB/CI ??
I guess if a "shopping" list is made up, people can buy what is needed and cross off list, so we get a good varity of food.... (burgers, dogs, rolls, salads,etc... Oh yea, and BEER !!!)

Hot dogs/hamburgers
hot dog / hamburger rolls
macroni / potato salad ?
Pretzels / potato chips
Condiments (means mustard, ketchup, etc...lowman)
plates/cups/napkins/utensils
Soda ,,Type?
Beer ,, type?
Alcohol ,, type?
I will bring charcol, tinfoil, grill utensils and tablecloths. I plan on being early. If there is anything else just speak up.

Sorry lowman , I was rereading the whole post and I never answered one of your most important questions.
I have spoke to Robert from Bucanero(sorry qball) and he will be sending out some samplers. I have had email contact with Jon@cao(he does post here)He said he will be shipping us some. Last but not least, had email contact with Drew Estate, they are in but we know what happened last herf. We hope it is not the same thing.
I am ready ,:^]

It would be a 200 mile one way trip for me to come up from Virginia - but I think I going to do it.

Would this be a Saturday of overindulgence because if it is, I need to be there.

Thought about just crashing it, but I guess I should announce that I will be there. It's an 8 hour one-way drive, but you guys are worth it. OK, so it is a combined trip to visit grandma's and a buddy in NJ, but it should still count.. if you'll have me.

Can any of the CBid folks do a quick tour of the "shop"? I'd sure like to see where all my money has been going. Gonna try to run into CI as well. Is there enough hours in the day for all this???
:-)

What can I bring that hasn't been called and doesn't go bad overnight?

There will also be a Carlos Torano event at the CI retail store that same day from Noon - ??, with hopefully a roller doing fresh-rolled cigars. Beverages and food will be there, so if you wanna swing by the store and check it out before the herf...should be a good time.

Bring hamburger and hotdog rolls. Got someone bringing hamburgers (20 ct) . By the way, you will be there at an reasonable time, correct? I ask because you have far to come and if you bring the rolls we will be waiting for you.

Man, it's difficult keeping up with the posts in the two different threads going here. Yeah, I'll be on time. Driving that way on Friday and stopping at the wifes grandmothers (Mechanicsberg) for the night. Then hitting Bethlehem in the AM. Staying the night somewhere there.

What time did this all start? I want to hit CI for the event there at noon as well.
