Hey Folks,
I am typing this through a drug induced stupor. Yesterday morning, I was going to the postoffice, in a neighboring town, the local PO wouldn't let me send cigars. Yes I was a dumbass and told the postal worker what was in the package. I had a little mishap. I stopped on the hwy, preparing to turn, and was rearended by a large truck. 1.5 ton, loaded with pulpwood. It appears now his breaks were not functioning. At first I thought I was ok, then the pain in my neck and back started in. I just got home from the hospital. According to my doctor, it appears that there is no major damage, just soft tissue damage, but he said this whiplash injury will be painful for several months. Any way, the master list, will be delayed for a few days. I am having trouble thinking with the meds, and don't want to send out an incomplete list. I will try and go without pain pills and muscle relaxers in a couple of days. Then Maybe I can get it out. Sorry for the delay.

P.S. I must say my chevy is a tough truck, though it was taken away by the wrecker, and is a total loss, I was able to start it and move it from the highway, after the police arrived. Good truck, I think I will get another Chevy.

Take it easy Dave. The folks in the club will understand if things back up a little. After all, we are all over 18 years old.. or supposed to be.

Best for a speedy recovery.

Dave....

Take it easy...things of that sort only get better with total rest....just a heads up...feels worse the third day so keep the pills within arms length....

And just like Dan says...we are all adults and understand...

Wow Dave, I'm glad you're OK (relatively). By all means take your time and get better. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know. I think I speak for everyone when I say we'd rather have you in one piece than birthday cigars, so don't worry about the delay. Hope you're feeling better soon.

OMG! I'm happy to hear that you're somewhat ok...I've been in a few accidents and that whiplash is serious stuff...I still have repercussions from one 28 years ago...don't settle medically until you are SURE that you are satisfied with the settlement...mine has cost me a fortune (my parents should have fought the ins. co) to this day...

Like the saying goes, "no good deed goes unpunished"...sorry!

I'll do whatever I can to keep the club going...between the other volunteers, it won't be a problem...you just enjoy the meds and get better in due time!

XO,
Marla

Take it slow Dave. Make sure you get that doc to sign a 'scription for some PAMs or other top-notch smoke. I'll be glad to fill it.

Dave, feel better soon. I didn't join the club because I travel too much to be consistently reliable, but I think it is a great idea you developed. Glad you're okay.

Hey Everybody,
Thanks for all of your prayers, and offers for help. After my initial post, the pain pill, and muscle relaxers, knocked me out. I just woke up, about an hour ago. I will meet the insurance adjuster, tomorrow, I think it's tomorrow, what day is it??? Anyway, the meeting is in my attorneys office. My doctor is first class, and assures me that he is thoroughly documenting everything he does, on my case. I am assuming that tomorrows meeting will primarily focus on the truck, as I am scheduled for an MRI, after the meeting. I am starting to feel the next round of meds, starting to kick in, and will be back in bed soon. The doctor has me off work, for at least the next week, but says it will probably, be more like 4-6 weeks. I guess as soon as I can get off the pain pills, and get more control over my brain, I will have plenty of time to finish the master List, and get it out. I am lucky to have good friends, as I currently have several friends, taking shifts, staying at my house, to make sure I don't over exert myself. My friend, Amber, is typing this for me, right now, so I do not have to be upright. I am on the couch, in my home office dictating for her.
Thanks for your well wishes, and prayers.

Homebrew,

Did you ever get a chance to create the master list? I'm just wondering if there are any June birthdays that I need to stock up for.

Thanks Low.

Hey doesn't being married add years to your life? In that case you're WAY older than me. ;-)
