I smoked these after having a few cigars and my taste buds are deadened a bit or overwhelmed by prior cigars. It is a good cigar, not complex, it just comes out and says "here I am" and pretty straight forward. Though luckily the straight forward taste isn't bad! Good solid stock. If you like these, try the El Mejor Maduros, I like those much more.

I enjoy the El duque. I agree with Aberdeen not complex but solid and honest.

I enjoyed EL Duque a few days ago, he threw 12 strike outs! As for the cigars, I rate a C+ giving the + only for consistency. Mild bodied cigar with a decent (eh) flavor. Finish was crap but it is made well. Low priced but in this case I would not necessarily say a good value. I must be off because the group has raved over these sticks. I just don’t see it. In fact, I think I still have a few. I will dig them out and try again…stay tuned.
