The Mrs. and myself will be in Houston on the 23rd and 24th for an Astros game on the 24th. We will be at the Hyatt downtown on Louisiana St. It would be great to get together with you guys at the bar in the hotel or maybe somewhere else. They allow cigar smoking in the lounge area at the Hyatt.

Fatshotbud & Wer--Friday evening about 6:30. We've got a couple of hours to fit in a mini-herf if yall are interested. We could meet in the lobby. Bring some other C-bidders.

I'll be out of town that and probably a few additional weekends ahead, so I won't be able to hook up with ya'll. Besides, downtown scares me, LOL.

There are a lot of Houston area CBiders around so keep it at the top and maybe you can catch a few.

Have fun and enjoy the game. I haven't been there since opening night of "Enron" Field.

Bud,

Are you planning on going to the Astros game? If not, how about we meet jazzman and then go to the Indian Tabac herf at Lonestar Tobacco on FM1960 that Barry mentioned? I think it is the same night.

I just checked (I didn't read closely enough the first time) and the IT tasting is 4-7pm Friday (I confirmed it with the shop). Jazzman, are you going to the ballgame on Fri. or Sat.? If it is Sat. maybe we should all go to the tasting on Fri. instead. Just a suggestion, I'm up for anything. Looking forward to meeting some board members.

We're going to the Saturday game. Go to the tasting for a while and meet us at the Hiatt later. Just a suggestion.

I don't think the wife wants to spend 5 hours in cigar-related activities. Yall enjoy the IT event and make it to the Hyatt if you can. Hope to see you there.

Wer, I misunderstood you. You mean go to the IT event instead of herfing at the Hyatt. That's got possibilities. I'll run it past the wife. We gotta be back at the room by 8:30 to watch the Spurs trounce the Mavs in game 3.

Yeah, we could all rendevous at the IT event (that way when you realize I'm a tremendous bore you won't be stuck talking with me and can mingle with other folks plus escape whenever you like!). Dinner and the game afterward could also be possibiltes, but I don't want to impose on your vacation too much.

Plus, I'm with Barry regarding downtown. It doesn't so much scare me as infuriate me. The construction and lack of parking has been a problem the entire 5 yrs I've lived here.

We should probably start to coordinate via email -- wer (aT) rice (Dot) edu

Barry -- you're out of town and won't make the IT event correct? It'd be great if you could.

I'll touch base with y'all tomorrow.

Cheers, Bil

wer, that's the IT event at Lonestar Tobacco right? I may be able to make it Friday. My wife's got my schedule, I might even be able to stay in town this weekend to babysit critters, just won't be able to leave for long.

I'll try and make the IT event Friday evening if that's when ya'll will be there. Probably sometime after 6:00. Let me know if this is correct.

I will probably hit there around 5PM.
I do not have any cigar related attire, look for someone wearing a black T-shirt with picture of BB King on the front. Heck I doubt anyone else is dumb enough to wear black in this weather. See ya'll there!!

While I like to think I defy description -- short guy with glasses will suffice. See you there.
