Has anyone here ever heard of using dry ice to kill beetles? What is your experience with this? I don't have beetles, just curious. Thanks.

And remember,

Most people can remember someone who hurt them somehow. Whether it be a school yard bully of long ago, or someone who did something only recently, it's a natural human emotion to want to "get even," or at least to hold a grudge.

Human nature such as it is, we can all usually remember very clearly what others have done to us, but somehow what we may have done to others tends not to come to mind. God makes plain however that we have all sinned to some greater or lesser degree, against Him, and against other people. No one is without fault or blame.

Forgiveness on a personal level is sometimes very difficult, especially if the offense is very great. But we must, not merely because it's the right thing to do, but because salvation is very much a "what goes around, comes around" matter. God makes clear that if we want Him to forgive us, then we must forgive others.. (Or don't forgive and go to hell, your choice!)

hehehe, so no experience with CO2? I know they make those little canisters that people use in air pistols? I'm wondering if it would be more efficient to just use the pistol? THERE'S ONE!! PIFT! (that could be taken either way, gas, or gas...)

Robby, I have heard that microwaves have been tested and found successful if done correctly.

I've heard that too. But frankly, that a bit scary to me... I mean, it's bad enough to think about freezing or gassing them, but microwaving them! I don't think I could bring myself to do it.

Yo Robby : I asked a friend to explain the dry ice method and this is how it works, cut the dry ice into tiny cubes and when the beetles aren't looking grab their drink and and replace the ice cubes with the dry ice cubes. Hope this helps. JonR Oh another thing he said to do was chew some gum and stick it on the bottom of their sipping straws.

That reminds me of a story I heard at the State Fair:

A farmer has a prize bull that wins many medals at shows. One morning, the farmer notices that the bull's eyes are crossed. The farmer is horrified as he has a contest the next weekend. He calls the vet, who comes out and examines the bull. The vet tells the farmer that this is a rare condition in bulls and can be cured fairly easily. He then removes a large tube from his bag and inserts it halfway into the bull's rear end and blows hard - voila! The bull's eyes uncross. The farmer is amazed. All is well!

The day of the big contest, the farmer comes out to get the bull ready and sees to his horror that the bull's eyes are crossed again. He takes the tube that the vet left and inserts it into the proper orifice, then blows as hard as he can. To his dismay, the bull's eyes remain crossed. He tries again with no luck. Then he calls his not-so-bright farmhand into the barn, and proceeds to show him the procedure by blowing into the tube (again with no effect on the bull). He tells the farmhand to give it a try, so the guy walks up to the bull and removes the tube. The farmer is puzzled and asks him, "What are you doing?".

The farmhand looks at the farmer like the man is stupid, and says, "I'm turnin' it around. You don't think I'm going to blow into the end you just had your mouth on, do you?"
-----------------------------------------------
For those of you that are about to condemn me for posting this story to the cigars board, just substitute a lit cigar for the tube, and pretend someone just handed you the prototype for the 2004 Opus X after they smoked it for a while. ;-p

Oh, and if you don't believe my story, all I can say is, "IT'S NO BULL!". I think I might get the No-bull prize for it too!
