Just got back from Seaside and I must say it is a wonderful little place. The atmosphere is so laid back....crime rate so low that we didn't even see 1 cop there in 6 days! It is a mix between Key West and the Carribean. The water and sand are beautiful as well. Only draw back is that it is pricey (i.e. $700/night for a 2 bedroom cottage on the beach). They have a hotel there also: Water-color Inn. The place is somewhat artsy.....local artists have shops all over the place. Hell, the architecture is artistic in itself.

Note: There are no supermarkets, drugstores, etc. So, if you rent a cottage, shop before you go.

Well, hell! DMV, for some reason I thought you lived up north....Anyways, I do plan to go back in August, so I'll give you a heads-up. Maybe we can get together for drinks and smokes.

yeah, that's a neat place. They filmed the Jim Carey movie Truman there. The town was their set.
