Robustos $19.95/ box. 500 boxes. 13 geniuses bid more than $19.95.

What is this "Private Auction" stuff? I'm not broken up over the LFs, but I've been buying from here for two years and I've never seen one!! What's the deal??

Privat auctions? Now that Bites... no matter what the stick is.
I have not been around as long as some of you vets, is this a new thing or am I just finding out about it?

I assume that the "private auction" was addressed to everyone on the e-mail list. The Lone Wolf brand has been purchased by a small California group who is encouraging retailers to liquidate their inventory of older stock. The older stock is quite variable in quality, from some great first release cigars, to some real apcray.
The New Lone Wolf is reportedly a decent cigar. I'd be very surprised if the e-mail special weren't lawn mowing specials.

I just got one of those emails a few days back. My first invite to a private auction. I'm underwhelmed.

I still have two left contaminating one of my humidors from an old sampler pack.

This batch wasn't horrible, just not really worth more than .50c a stick.

I saw some at the cigar bar last night...$6.95 a stick. I'd rather have a martini.

Five twenty nine!!!!!!!!! Fi dolla twenty nine cent! You have penny?

I'm with ya' Sonny.

I got an invite and I'm no vet. Must have something to do with the email list or something. My research says "Pass!"

Thanks anyway

That, in fact, is what it says in the e-mail invitation ... that they had sent the invites to everyone who's subscribed to their e-mail list

I appreciate the gesture, but would've felt it a bit more special if the auction had been for something better than Lone Wolf robustos .... anyone who didn't get an invite and wants to be included, feel free to let me know and you can have have my invite ...even though my cigar budget's a bit constrained lately, I'm not gonna use it.

I might be tempted to buy some at less than $.50/each. Got to mow my lawn with the proper smoke.
