Some say the wrapper is 50% of a cigar's flavor. I am inclined to agree. This morning I set about to sort some cigars by wrapper (instead of doing the chores I was supposed to be doing) to see if I could find a pattern. Mixed results. For example, I love Brazilia, but for some reason don't care much for the Signature Collection. I like the taste of the Antano wrapper, but find, as far as the wrappers go, the O and the Padron as flat as I find the H2000. Anybody see any personal patterns here? Additions, corrections, raspberries?

I think that amongst a certain wrapper "type" there is still a great deal of variation in the leaf. A great example of this is the brazillia and the signature. Although both brazillian maduros they do in fact have a very different taste. I agree with you, the CAO is far superior to the Torano.

your idea intrigued me. after looking at my collection in the living room and the bathroom, too much trouble to look in the workout room and the rumpus room and the kitchen. i assume from my sampling the rest would be similar.

mostly i have plain brown wrappers, the same color of the plain brown envelopes, some of my online purchases come in.

i have a lot of dark brown wrappers also and some real light wrappers.

i have 3 cigars with black wrappers that get all over your fingers and mouth when they are smoked.

i don't find no stinken pattern.

No Rick we have never exchanged cigars. I did try one recently at a crawfish boil and was worried if what I saw on my hand was also on my mouth. Did not want to look like I wore lip stick. The Gothic fatshotbud?

So what was the original comment rappers?

I'm not much into rappers... listen to a lot of jazz, rock, etc...
