Perfect weekend weather allows my smoke count to go up. This weekend so far...

1) Chateau Fuente SG - Excellent smoke, got the weekend off to a great start!
2) Oliva "O" Oasis Maddie - Man, do I love those "O"s, both the regular line and the maddies
3) Vega Talanga Reserva Tercio - Had a couple napping in the humidor and this was the first I had tried, not overpowering but real smooth with an even burn
4) Sportsmen's Reserve Torpedo - Good mid-day smoke for today
5) CAO Criollo Mancha - Have had them before but this one suffered from substatial tunneling :(
6) La Aurora Preferido #2 - Last smoke of the weekend (maybe). A good Cameroon wrapper to wrap the day!

i am hooked on the bohemian revolution with an occasional alhambra and mundi victor thrown in for comic relief.

i forgot i did have an isom monte #2 (sorry charlie)late last night.

managed to sell 9 of the ammo boxes they come in. i don't need a dozen of them.

My list can't quite compare. Due to some recent imprudent spending on some premiums I really wanted (looking at myself in the mirror saying 'Bad doggie! Bad!), I stashed them and looked to some cheapies to get me by. I'm always lookin for the overlooked gem and usually come up with something fair to middling at best. This time I got lucky with two in a row! First was the Dictador torpedo. I generally like FG's cigars (not sure why alot of folks eschew them). These were just like longer Petrus Antonius'. Light and nutty, and generous with the smoke. Not exactly demanding, but pleasant to strut around with (I kind of grooved on the cheesy south American el presidente schtick). The second was CI's rare corojo in toro. It's difficult to describe this cigar without sounding like I'm trying to put it in a league where it's not. It will never be mistaken for a super premium, with it's huge veins, and one dimensionality. But dang, that one dimension. Oily, leathery, slow burning, firm draw. Not just toast flavors, but heavily buttered wheat toast flavor. I thought the burn might follow the very prominant main vein (actually doubled on the roll) but things stayed surprisingly straight. Worth a buck? Oh yeah. Two? Might be stretching it, but I think I might have to try some of CI's other bundle cigars. How about an elaboration on that la Aurora Preferido?

The Preferido is a nice, even smoke. They are described as the perfecto shape changing the flavor as the cigar as it is smoked but I feel they are usually relatively consistent from start to finish. Construction is impeccable with a medium flavor. Easy draw and they smoke reasonably quickly, although they aren't really large cigars. As good as they are, they are overpriced as you can buy 2-3 cigars just as good for the price of one Preferido. (But the tubos are really cool looking when you are smoking with your buddies!)

For me, it's been mostly Bucanero Maduros, Avo Domaines and Flor de Olivas.

I love summer.
