I just recently had a La Gloria Cubana serie R and loved the taste but I couldn't keep the thing lit. It went out on me four or five times after I got about half way through the thing. Does this say somthing about the cigar or was it a rare thing?

It was probably too wet.

I could walk away from the one I had and it would always stay lit. Nice cigars with great taste. You better try another one or send any more you have to me.

Don't be greedy Dan - LOL.
Symptomatic of high RH of a stick.
I have started trying to keep my RH below 70%. I had some cigars that drew very hard others with uneven burn problems (was storing 70-72%). These problems seem to have improved vastly by lowering RH.

Shua,
I have smoked many a LGC SeriesR and have never had an issue withthem going out! Had to have been to wet. Was it in the humi for a while? or was it right off the shelf in the store?

A Great Gar! Stablize the enviorment prior to smokin. If you did have the gar in your humi make sure that you have calibrated your hygromoters.
Regards,
