Recently my brother had to move to VA for a job, and he had two great Rottweilers. However, he was unable to find an apartment that allowed large dogs. Rather than the Rotties having to go to the pound, I offered to try to find a place for them. I can neither afford to keep them or give them a good home as I live in an apartment. I was wondering if anyone was interested in them. One is a male that weighs around 130 lbs. and the other is a female that weighs around 80 lbs. They are very well behaved, house broken, and trained. I'm looking for someone that would give them a loving home, preferably with a large yard. If anyone is interested, email me at nw_bonick at yahoo dot com.

I don't know why but i can't get an email to you.

there are grouops that rescue specific breeds of dogs. call your local animal shelter and ask them, they should know.

I've tried calling rescue groups and animal shelters, but to no avail. They are all full and I'd rather find a good home.

Do a search for breed clubs they usually are best for dog placement information.
This might help:

Try putting an ad in the newspaper and specify that you need referrences. Some companies that use dogs for testing will go after the larger breeds and scan the newspaper for such. As long as you ask for referrences, call them and verify this person is legitimate, take a road trip to their house to make sure they are telling the truth then you are alright. Most of those people won't put up with all of this. Good luck!

You might want to try putting an add on the internet too. There are dog specific sites that will let you advertise your dogs.
