Anyone ever hear of problems with putting flame to a cold cigar? I did a little research and found little on the subject. What is too cold?

Thanks,

sketcha - I can't tell you how cold for storage, have no clue, but I can tell you how cold for smoking them. In my old Igloo I hade to go outside to smoke. Anything below 12F/-10c, the smoke just doesn't burn right, tastes harsh. Some times I'll brave -20, but can only get down 1/3rd. New Igloo has a garage, so even if it gets to -48 like last winter, no problem. I love Summer.

Geez dude, I don't know how you do it. I live on the coast 1 1/2 hrs. S. of San Francisco with a moderate climate where the temp usually ranges from high 30s and 40s in the winter to high 70s to low 80s in the summer and it's still too cold for me. I envy E-Chick down in San Diego. If I had my choice, I'd be in the tropics. I don't mind the cold when I go snowboarding, but not on a daily basis. You're more man than I.

LMAO @ limoric!

A witches titty in a brass bra in a bucket of ice in a wind storm at the south poll. Now that's too cold!

Thanks for your super-helpful input Robby. Simply brilliant!

Did the sarcasm come through? I just wanted to make sure. Usually you'll add something useful to your humorous BS responses. You must be tired.

sketcha please! Get a life! Enough with the personal attacks on me, do you have a hobby you could pursue? What is this fixation you have on me? I don't think it's healthy... Once again, standing on the shoulders of others to feel big. I’m curious, how tall are you? I missed it with Slim, he’s a monster! I’m guessing you’re what, 5’5”? 5’6? You can still be happy knowing that I exist and have a different outlook than you, can’t you?

Geez dude, chill! I was just jokin' man! I guess, like you, I have a misunderstood sense of hunmor. I guess I'd better tone it down for you.

I actually think you're hilarious. I thought your "position on your staff" comment on the picture post was brilliant. You're one of the folks that makes this forum fun. Try not to get too defensive.

Thanks for the psych page. I'll try to get around to reading it.

BTW, I'm 5'10" and chicks dig me cuz I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's something unusual.

Anything else you'd like to know?

How 'bout you?

I figured you woke up on the wrong side this mornin'. I'm in the middle of a major re-model myself, I can epathize. Best of luck on the sale.

I've never had a problem lighting a cold cigar. I guess it will be another 6 months till I try it again.
I know you can free them briefly to knock down the threat of cigar beetles, but I would let them come back down to room temp before firing one up LOL.

me thinks I will put one of those Lone Wolf Robustos in the freezer for a day or 2 and see if that makes it a better smoke. :-). Nothing like smoking Frozen grass clippings to make you warm up
