Ya' scurvy dogs!
Well I've joined the ranks mateys, though only a cabin boy at this stage as I have sampled but 2 of yee Clasico Maduro Belicosos.
Alright, here's the skinny...
The first one I had tasted great but I was unfortunately distracted by an uneven burn. The second I polished off at band practice last night and thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely a unique flavor, smooth and complex with no specific taste dominating the other. There was a hint of coffee, cocoa and spice and it was maybe just a little nutty. The flavor for me was fairly consistent throughout. The draw was perfect. The smoke was somewhat thick, though not among the thickest I've had. The burn on the second was not perfect but required no assistance. It remained consistent with no extra heat or bitterness down to the nub.
Overall, a great smoke at a fair price. I have, however found a few better (for my taste) stoges for less. I would buy only another 5-pack at this stage due to a limited budget but will first sample the rest of the line while these nap awhile.
