Looking for suggestions on what to smoke in the AM drive. All I have tried so far are a little too strong in the AM.

Hey Tony,
I usually prefer a strong cigar, but sometimes in the morning either driving or at home i like the 5 Vegas corona with a cup of Kona coffee.I think they go well together and the cigar isnt a real strong one!IMHO!

I always love an AVO Petit Belicosa in the morning. Also the Siglo 21 #2 is a good choice for a mild and mellow morning stick. Lastly, you can always burn a good old Hyde Macanudo. You can also find a great deal on "Professor Silas" right here on the CBid. They are the best buy you'll find around these parts. A very well made, mellow and smooth smoke.

Hope this helps.

My Favorite ride to work smoke??????
La Hoja Selecta #1 Mad.
Nice little med. body smoke, easy on the stomach, and just right with a cup of good french roast.

Padro delicias maduro. An excellent morning smoke. Smooth and mellow, yet rich enough to not leave you craving another. Also a good short size, only about 20 - 30 mins.

If your pocket book is stronger than your pallet there is no better morning smoke than a Diamond Crown #4.
The cost is about $150.00 for a box of 15 and if you buy them by the stick I would expect to pay about $20.00 each.

My ride is so short. A CAO petit corona gets me there.

DITTO on most all the above.
I would add Mayorga especially the Gordito Maduro. Their stronger one is the Mayorga High Octane Parejo Trios, this would be better in the afternoon IMO.

My morning smoke is a lot cheaper than any of those. I smoke a Flor De Filipinas corona.

For something different try an Acid Blonde. Note that Acids are VERY different then traditional cigars and are not for everyone.

That's right.
For instance, if you pee standing up, you won't like them...

Consuegrea (sp) is good, nice and smooth, and they come in small slim sizes. VERY reasonably priced. I like their big torps too. For the value, they can't be beat.

I' like a ERDM Choix supreme or a Fonseca cosaco or Cohiba siglo II(Habanos)with my morning coffee. The Cohiba is a bit stronger than your preference but the first 2 are very mild-medium in strengh. Give them a try if you can find them.

I've discovered the Drew Estates La Viejo. Enjoy the corojo wrapper and are cheap.

I'm with bildo, I don't smoke in the AM ride to work but on the weekend I like a Padron with my AM coffee, Delicias or Churchill if time isn't a factor.

Another good AM smoke is the Indian Tobac Bear. You can only get them here in bundles, so they're cheap. Nap them for a while and they become the cream in your coffee.

Concur with the Padron Delicias in the morning as the best morning smoke--especially with black coffee, but if you are really adventurous or just want that kicked in the stomach feeling early in the morning, try an Antano 1970 Machito...

Padron Delicias in th morning... Those are marvelous anytime of day. Love the AVOs XOs as well. But I agree with the guy who picked the Diamond Crown #4s as the ultimate morning smoke (for a very special morning. Unfortunately my commute is only 5 minutes (a treasure in the Seattle area) so the morning smoke ritual only occurs occasionally on weekends.
