I saw a little green bug on a cigar butt I left in the backyard. It was the size of a pin head. Anybody know what it was. Also, the insect may only be native to my neck of the woods, north of North Dekota.

Let's see ... with the billions of insects there are in the world ... and you say the butt was left in your backyard ... hummmmmmmm ...

... my guess would be an aphid.

Now if you're talking about little green bugs south of north North Dakota or slightly greenish brown bugs north of south North Dakota................

don't know anything about them.

aphid, that's what my wife says, I don't know my insects very well. Those things are a total pain. I guess the cigar butt sollution spray wouldn't work on them. Anybody have a trick.

In Alabama we have BIG brown bugs. You can always spot them because they're SMOKING the cigar butt....

I think the big question was whether it was trying to relite the cigar butt.

chipslave- where you at in ND? I am located in Minot.

limoric- Edmonton is more north of Montana than north of North Dakota, or so I thought.

calavera - Actually you are right, I am Directly above Montana. When ever I drive through the U.S., I go through Portal ND and through Minot as a matter of fact, so I guess that's the first State that crosses my mind. I've also gone through Washington, funny been to every border State, but never Montana. Hey your not to far From Fargo, ever see a wood chiper in their backyards, hehehe.

You know Regina would be a pretty good midpoint for a Montana, North Dakota, Alberta and Saskatchewan Herf.

limoric: next time you are going to come through minot, let me know. it might be possible to get together for a quick smoke. Regina would be a good place for a herf. I am much more familiar with Winnipeg, as we go there as often as we can. Some great cigars available there that are somewhat harder to get here (wink, wink).

chipslave: if you are from Minot, the odds are probably good that we do know each other. I was born here and have lived here all my life. Graduated in 1992.

calavera - I will definatley look you up. send me you vital statistics for my palm pilot. By the year you graduated I think we're the same age, but don't tell anybody, I think people think I'm a bit less wet behind the ears.

I think you should be right between Regina and winterpeg. If we were to organize a herf, I'd likely be there. Regina's about an 8 hour drive for me.

I think you just a couple hours from Portal, right?
