Hi,everyone.
I have been a quiet participant here for about 4 months now, only posted a couple of times ,
(I suffer from typo, typri, typwriteritis;it causes all the words in my head to reach the keyboard in a strange new language even spell check can't decipher)
I have won a few bids over that time and, thankfully,
lost many more(filled 2 150ct.& 2 50ct.humis,made a tupperdore and then a sweaterdore and I'm pricing coolers)
None of this has made me feel less of a newbie until I recieved the most coveted of all prizes,
the holy grail of all newbies on this site.
I finally know what it feels like to belong because I have in my possesion for the first time.........

A box of wooden matches.

I was humbled and in awe when I looked in the bottom of the box and saw them lying amidst the packing foam,I had to wipe a tear and take a breath because I knew that I was no longer a Newbie. :)

Maybe I'm ready to lose my cherry on the trades board.

Welcome Jim!!

I dont know if its the n-e-w-b-i-e status you should worry about...

its the a-d-d-i-c-t-e-d status that most of us have that is the problem LOL.

Good luck to you, youve found the right place!!

Congrats on the matches and welcome aboard.

You know, when I was a kid, I had a Big Jim action figure. He had a motorcycle. His first run deposited him in the gutter never to be seen again.

Never heard of "Big Jim" but we used to put airplane glue on my sisters Barbies and use them for torches.

Low, you had the sports camper?! I just had the motorcycle. Like I said, shortest time span for ownership of a toy. All I had left was the push stick.

Bigjim, You can't post another thread until you send the matches to Robby, and a cigar to SteveS.

Welcome aboard!

Sitting on the floor, staring off in to space. Deep in catatonia, visualizing Patagonia, pulling the pedals off a begonia. Wishing it were so, that I could confess that I possess, what I obsess, oh to be blessed with a box... One sweet box, of the precious, yessssss he hisses gleefully, the precious...

Didn't really want to mention this, but I've had to contact customer service at Cbid to demand that they stop SENDING THOSE FREAKING MATCHES!!! I'm overflowing with them; got'um stuck everywhere. Received one UPS parcel that I couldn't remember ordering anything, opened it, and it was full of nothing but boxes of Cbid matches with a note saying they were complimentary, "Just our way of saying, Thank You.". I'm tired of paying postage for the damn things! Anyone else have this problem......

The problem I have is that there are so many matches in the shipment, they crowd the cigars. Makes everything a "box pressed"!

Thanks all for the warm welcome.
I'll try to abide by the rules, hmmmmm........

SteveS. gets a cigar( does he like White Owls or Bad Frogs? )and as far as Robby,
I have a box of strike anywhere matches(just love the smell of sulfer)

Yeah, I think I'll fit right in. :)

Jim
