Montecristo Habana Especiales Number 2 Box code BEC Nov 01 Size: Languito Number 2: 6 inches by 38. I must say in the beginning that this is not my favorite ring size or shape. I consider a larger ring gauge a better smoke in my personal opinion. However, the ones that know me also know that I will smoke just about anything.

Inspection: beautiful brown in color, with a smooth wrapper. Impeccable construction with only one small vein, which ran the length of the gar. Strong but pleasant pre light aroma. The filler is densely packed and a joy to behold because of the craftsmanship.

Cut :was simple and easy. Pre-light draw after cutting had a strong tobacco flavor with Earthy overtones. Slightly tight on the pre-light draw but this promised a longer smoking experience.

Toasting - Provided a light aroma, which was pleasurable to the senses. From the first draw this cigar showed its stuff and it “Never Backed Up”!! It got my attention quickly by providing big spicy taste Havana twang that I so dearly love. The gar provided a surprisingly good smoke volume of smoke throughout the experience irregardless of the small ring. Incredible!

Burn and Ash - Ash was very nice grayish black with speckled light flakes and firm. Stayed on for the first forth of the cigar before falling off on it's own. The burn started off a little uneven but corrected itself without any touch up. This is my own fault because I decided to smoke one early after receiving the shipment. However, after the first 1/8 th there were no problems. Throughout the cigar I was amazed that the flavor did not weaken. I finally divorced the cigar at the nub with a little finger and thumb burn. Even at the very end the gar did not burn hot!!!

This cigar is the real deal. Perfect as they come and it is not for those who prefer mild or medium body smokes. If you’re looking for a full-bodied rocket cigar, you’ve simply got to try this one. Great – No – Awesome cigar!!!!

Thanks Billy, I thought so but the terms Habano/a seem to be used pretty loosely for several DR and Honduran smokes too.
