I had draw problems with a box of the Natural Roots that I bought last fall. I contacted Drew Estates and they sent me another box to replace my original box.

I smoked the first one tonight. As I toasted the foot is had a pleasant aroma, a slight almond scent combined with a hint of chocolate. When lit, the aroma was just awesome! This cigar had the most pleasant aroma that I've experienced in a long time. However, the flavor didn't kick in until 1 to 1 1/2 inches into it. After that, the taste was just awesome! The burn was pretty even, and the ash was impeccable. Overall I was thrilled with this cigar!

I'm hoping that by putting a little age them will help with the flavor throughout the cigar though.

Drew Estates had great customer service and a great product!

It seemed strange to me that you would post about a competitor's cusomer service on CBID's forums ...

... or did you get them here, and choose to go direct with your problem because of the time that had passed?

Anyway ... glad things worked out for you.

Glad to hear it hoagie! With the cost of a whole box of fine smokes, even at a good deal, it's still a lot if you get a lemon.

Slim,

I got the Roots from several different sources, including here. I had the same problem with all of them, which incidentally were from the same batch that had the problems.

Since I did get them from multiple sources, I thought that I'd go strait to Drew Estate instead of multiple different sources. Also, I wanted to see if I was doing something wrong in storing them. They were able to identify the problem and then resolve it in an acceptable manner.

All I wanted to do was show everyone else here what great customer service they have.

Matt

i think hoagie55 wa suggesting that othe sites customer service are trying very hard to measure up to cbid's. of course they can't, but it gives them a goal to try to reach.

if that was not what he was doing, then poo on him.

I'm so confused! Where is another websites customer service coming into play here? I didn't mention a competitor, nor would I do so. I play by the rules.

I was just commending Drew Estate on their customer service (Drew Estate is a manufacturer not a retailer).

this post is too short. i think with the proper probing it could be extended by any trouble maker like me. for example

does drew actually live on or own an estate? how much land do you have to have before it becomes an estate, or is it based on the neighborhood.

i've almost always lived in big cities except for the last 40 yers that i have been living in whittier.

i built a pigeon coop and the city said i have to build it on a roof. i live in a one story house and it doesn't have one of those famous new york style roofs.

i wanted to build a circular driveway and they said my block was not zoned for it.

i wanted to widen my one car behind another car driveway, but the city said i could not poor concrete to widen my driveway. something about zoning preventing a permanent wide driveway like concret or asphalt so i made a fancy border out of redwood 2 X 8's and filled in the area with gravel which is not considered permanent.

the above is an example of how to fly without spell check and how to extend a dead thread. it may be considered by some to be thread jacking, but can one eally jack a dead thread?

I think being in the prooper frame of mind helps also. An estate is an Estate but a good Drew is hard to find. Or is it a state is a good brew but the dew is hard to find. Well let me go for another brew and a pimp stick and I will let you know. Where is that cutter...better punch it...wait i cant it might break
