I thought it best to introduce myself to all the forum regulars (even though I already posted once before).

I'm Ikonoklast7, as my alias says. Godfather1453406 introduced me to CBid, and I've been hooked ever since. From what I've seen, I'm kind of young for a cigar afficionado, since I'm still college age.

Here's my favorites...

Romeo y Julieta (all kinds)
La Gloria Cubana Serie R
Indian Tabac Limited Edition Anniversary
H. Upmann (all kinds)
Torano Signature (the perfectos especially)
Partagas Black Label
Montecristo

I've found some awesome deals here on Romeos, and I'd love to get some of those LGC Serie R (I've had them before at my local smoke shop, and the ones I had were almost an oscuro, and it seems like the ones on CBid aren't as dark), but everytime their on CBid, they go through the roof!

Anyway, enough about that, I just wanted to say hello.

Welcome.

You know you're going to spend your tuition money here. That's a good thing, in the process you'll meet lots of great people.

Life is like a box of cigars, you know you'll finish it.

Welcome aboard. Don't know if there is any age to be too young to be a cigar lover. I've loved them for years. BTW, not that I'm old, but I understand that most of the colleges have electricity and running water now! Have a great time on this board.

Welcome aboard. Good to see another college age person on here, I sometimes start to feel a little out of place. I'm from the University of Akron (Ohio), and I think there are a few guys from Iowa State that are here from time to time. Haven't talked with them a whole lot but remember them discussing their cigar club awhile back. So at least you're not alone here.

Welcome, Ikonoklast. Get that PHD so you can build that walk-in humidor. Take it from someone who has enjoyed cigars since college (and I have been out of college for 25 years) ... it only gets better (or worse, depending on who's assessing your hobby). The thrill of opening that new box of smokes, trying one, putting some away for long-term storage ... it's ranked in life's finest pleasures. You have a hobby for life. Many of the posters here are good folks with a wealth of information and opinions they freely share with new-comers. Keep bidding and buying those 5-packs. They're a great way to try lots of new 'gars on a college student's budget.

lol, half the money I've earned for the school year from working this summer will go to cigars...the rest probably to beer, lol.

Keep a CI page open for price comparison.
Be patient, bid Low and let some go by.
Send Robby some matches.

Welcome aboard

P.S. Your post title comes from a movie or something. Doesn't it?

Welcome Welcome Welcome.... So is the cigar thing accepted or cutting against the grain at your college? No matter, be yourself and enjoy the hobby. You seem to have good taste already, just remember to buy what you can afford and don't run up those cards!!
