Going with my daughter to see The Price Is Right tomorrow...wish me luck!

I've been 3 times, one of those times Mike and I didn't make it in. They cut the line off 2 people in front of us...arrgghhh! I was underage and didn't qualify way back when one time and the last time didn't get called...figure THIS time is IT...woo-hoo!

Now, I just gotta make it in! Have to leave at 3:30 AM - ugh!

I need to figure out what to say on a tee shirt that will get past the censors and still catch their attention!

HELP!

Keep us posted if you make it and the air date. I'll set the VCR... yes VCR, that's as Hi-tech as I get.

Remember E-chick,

Just use your Cbid bidding skills. Sometimes the one dollar bid will win. And I hope you get to play Plinko, that's my favorite.

You guys are the best...ok, the funniest...LOL!

My daughter's tee says "WINNER"...

I'm heading out to the store to get my letters...gosh, I'm stumped...

"Member of B.O.B: Barker's Old Broads"

or

"Who's Mark Goodson anyway?"

or

"WINNER 2"

or

"Kiss me, Bobby baby!"

or how about just plain old "OH, OH! PICK ME!"

Bring your hubby with you. On your t-shirt, put: "I like to blow bubbles". On his t-shirt, put: "Hi, I'm Bubbles".

Think that would make it past the censors???

This is a VERY old show. My mom made it in, and became an actual contestant. She never got close enough on her price guesses to advance. She still had a thrilling time.

At that time, the folks that ran the show would talk to people waiting in line to get in. Mt mom is a very excitable type, she was chosen due to her personality.

Your t-shirt wont be what gets you on the show, if your lucky it will be your personality(act easily excited, but not phoney).

I got to see my mom on tv of course, my dad looked bored as all heck in the audience, even though my mom was up there....hehe!

Good Luck..... :>)

I made it in circa 1985. Went with 2 buddies in our sailor suits. Larry got picked. This woman next to him underbids him by $1 and gets onstage. I hate when that happens. For you I would suggest jumping up and down during your interview. If they don't choose you they must be gay!

We decided to drive up there at the last minute on the night before. Got to the motel at 1:30 AM...yawn...

Up at 4 am...yawn...and in line on the sidewalk...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Then, 6 AM, they let us on the lot....I'm sleepy!

Now, we wait until 7:30 AM to get a number...yawn...and we are free to leave until 10:30 AM...I'm going back to the motel to sleep...for sure!

Went to motel...had too much caffiene by now and can't sleep...yawn - I'm exhausted! Erica, of course, is able to fall asleep...

Then, back to the hardass benches to wait in line again...did I mention my sore, broken tailbone?

At 12:30 PM, we start the next process...more of the hurry up and wait crap...ok, I just drank a redbull and I'm zooming! LOL!

Finally, at about 1:30 PM, it's our groups turn to be interviewed by the producers...this is the quickest part of the entire process...you speak for about 3-5 seconds and that's it...UGH! Did I blow it! I was so friggin' nervous! Oh, and really zooming by now...

More waiting around on the hardass benches...until about 2:00 PM when they finally let us into the studio...I think I heard the munchkins singing when we went through the doorway...it looked like the Wizard of Oz or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with all of the wild colors in there...NOW I'm very excited!!! OMG, pick me!!!

We sit, and are warmed up and prompted on applauding and cheering...and then at 2:30 PM it starts...I was sweatin' bullets...I failed to mention up to this point that my pants fly zipper was broken and completely open...great, JUST great!

If they call me, well, I'd just have to go with it...

OOOOO-KAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY....

I DIDN'T get to come on down...$%@%&*(#@)(_#$^#%&%&^%%!!!!!!

Nor did Erica...

But we at least made it in by the skin of our teeth.

It was a LONG, exhuasting ordeal, but the experience was still fun...and that's what counts!

And as for the prize winners, well, I think that only one person won anything on stage..."a new car!"

The showcase showdown people BOTH overbid...that sucks!

Jason, a high school friend of Erica happened to be in the audience and got called down...didn't win though...but was very funny and had Bob laughing.

It should air on Oct. 15th. Erica and I are in the 6th row center a bit to the left as you are looking at the audience. We both wore hot pink tee shirts that optimistically said "WINNER" on them...oh well...yawn...

My cousin (who lives in Bethlehem - home of CI) won the showcase showdown about 10 years ago. Was out there on vacation and decided to go see the show and the next thing he knows he's grubbin with Diane Parkinson.
