Hey guys,

Who else enjoys a good old fasion herf and jam session?
If so what do you play and what do you smoke?

I've got an old 1978 Hohner Dread, an Ovation balladeer, and my pride and joy a Breedlove Ed Gerhart signature Jumbo. Mostly play finger style accoustic and popular stuff.
A great night is an acoustic Beatles Jam with my fav Nat Sherman Gothem 711s and a few fellow players and brothers of the leaf. The smokes seem to burn better when their listening to good tunes.

What are you playing and smokin?

Steve

I have an old ovation and write and sing original music. I also have a sunburst PRS that's beautiful.

I'm the only one that smokes cigars at practice. I'm a bass player. I play an American Standard Jazz through an SWR head and QSC 900W power amp into an Eden 410XLT.

My home rig is an Epiphone dreadnaught. It was on sale for $200. I played about a dozen of them and they all sounded like crap except for this one. It sounded sweeter than many of the Martins I played that day and better than anyone of my friends acoustics (one of my guitar players has 16 guitars and 12 amps). Sometimes you get just the right combination of woods and glue.

P.S. Robby,

Both guitar players also have PRS. One is a red Custom, the other is a rare red and black bolt on with a different switch and pot combo. I'd have to ask him to see who it's modeled after. It's not the Santana, I know that. Nice guitars

I'm a drummer (currently teaching my 13 y.o. daughter the basics), but I've got an old Yamaha 6-string which I bought in... 1971? Gawd. Anyway, I'll never get rid of that guitar. I don't usually smoke when I play, but only because I tend to get distracted and end up having to relight multiple times.

Just add a Fender Squire P-Bass(which the wife found at a yard sale for 30 bucks!) and a Kramer Ferrington Acooustic Bass since that last picture. I'm waiting for some wall hooks to come in. I'll have to post a picture when it's all said and done.

I'm in the same boat as sketcha in that I'm the only one in the band that smokes cigars. I play rythum guitar and harmonica, mostly southern rock and blues. Yesterdays jam started with a Padron Churchill Maduro, went to a Bucanero Clasico Maduro and finished with a PAM Superior.

The single guys in the band complain that my cigars keep the women away. I respond with, "Well, if they don't like cigars they are worth the trouble anyway." I've been married 23 years this Aug., so it doesn't matter much to me anyway. LOL

I was just given a Mandolin and told to "tear it up". It's fun.
