Let the virtual Herf begin!

Man! I busted my hump today... Went out and rented one of those rug doctor dohickys that you put hot water in and some of their shampoo/cleaner. Doesn't sound like it would be an ordeal, but vacuum the house, then pick a spot to wash/shampoo, move all the furniture, clean that area, move stuff back, then pick another spot, move furniture, clean, repeat until the whole house is done... It took 7+ hours!!! (did the furniture too) The wife actually appreciated it so much she actually volunteered to buy me beer on her way home!! Woo who!!

So, I'm getting tanked up and forgetting my aches and pains and enjoying a selection of FINE cigars on the porch :-)

For starters, it's a big fat PAN. Not sure of the name/size but it appears to be a solid 54-56 ring, box press, about 6 inches, and ooooolllllllld....... Ahh the luxury, the sheer enjoyment of a super premium and a beer after a long hard hot day...

What's everyone else enjoying?

After your description of your day, it would make anything taste better! Actually I've started with a Hoya Excaliber with a couple..three...Hell I can't remember...snifters of some V.S.O.P. brandy (and it's taking forever to write this post with all the corrections I'm having to make). A little later on tonight, after a Mexican-oriented meal (with lots of beer), I'm going to go with a CAO Brazilia. The Brazilia just seems to go better after a meal with some spice to it.

BTW, thanks for reinstituting the virtual porch. Really enjoy it!

I started off my day with an AF 858 SG and moved on to this nice old style cigar. I forgot the name.

I am retiring to the back porch for a La Aroma de Cuba Robusto. I tried my first one the other day and loved it. I'll take a bottle of and a Mike's hard lemonade with me to share with the cigar while I watch my dogs frolic in the back yard. I bet you'll didn't know that a 78 lb dog could frolic huh?

Weeeeee! Stocked up, by virtue of the fact that some kind soul bought the last 6 pack of Ultra before my wife made it to the gas station! So she brought home a 12 (good girl).

I nubbed the PAN and per the other post on Partagas Black, I grabed a torp out of the ploomidoor. I bought the box when the first came out. Paid out the a$$ for it. But now they're old and good... We all know these are good strong, full bodied cigars. Believe me, they mature very nicely... The characteristic "bite" that emanates from younger PBs is gone. What remains is a smooth, mellow, yet still full bodied smoke. Very nice, very nice indeed.

Fortunately for me my "work" day (rare for a Saturday) involved 2 forty-five minute drives. Popped the top on the car and burned through a Sherpa Toro on the way down and another on the way back. Them things is tasty.
