I went to Puerto Rico last year, and tried to find a decent cigar made from tobaccos grown there on the island ... and all I could find that had 100% Puerto Rican long filler and binder were the Don Bienve Cigars ...

... one of the nastiest cigars I've ever smoked ...

There is also a few more, but harder to locate, at least it was on the island anyway ...

There was one called La Restina, that the filler and binder is Puerto Rican, and the wrapper is USA/Pennsylvania ... but didn't smoke one ... so I don't know about that one.

There are also a couple of flavored and machine-made brands ... but I stay away from those.

All in all ... I don't think that the cigars from Puerto Rico are all that good ... IMHO.

Pretty funny, when I saw the title of this thread, my eyes played a trick on me and I thought it said "putrefaction cigars", I thought, now there's catchy title. Could have been an omen...
