Dark Spots on Wrapper?

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for a while and ordering from CBid, but this is my first post. I brought back a bunch of ISOMs from England about a month ago. Theyve been sitting in my humidor at 70-75% humidity since then. I realize this is a little high, but recently I have gotten it to stabilize at about 70%. A few days ago, however, I noticed the 2 Montecristo ISOMs have developed dark patches on the wrapper as well as some raised veins. They were bought at a reputable dealer (Harrods in London) so I am almost positive they are authentic. Anyone have any clues?

Thanks,
Troy

Are the spots kind of greenish blue? It didn't affect the ones I smoked.

No, the spots are just dark brown, almost black. They are also raised and are all over the sticks..
Thanks

I had some spots like that on a few non-ISOM cigars once, and they smoked just fine.

But I don't think the ones on mine were raised like you said yours are.

Dark spots on a cigar is what is called 'fleck', and all that is ... is spots or dapples on the surface of the tobacco leaf.

It shouldn't concern you ... more than likely, it's just a 'water stain' from your 'credo' dripping little, or to much condenstation that has built up in your humidor.

Won't affect the taste or burn ...

Also, those dark patches could be the start of bloom/plume, which is a good thng. Before bloom turns powdery white, it starts out as clear crystals (many small raised bumps) that are in a patch ...
