Whether you are proficient or not, what instrument/s do you play?

I played Tenor Sax from 5th to 8th grade.

Picked up the Guitar in '94 and put it back down. I can play all of "Wish You Were Here" including the acoustic solo but that's almost like "Stairway" in the music stores.

Now I play Bass as well as my Dreadnaught Acoustic from time to time.

I can also play decent drums and bongos but then again, who can't. =) Sorry BeatDragon.

Although I took years of piano lessons as a young kid, I was always enamored with the guitar--especially lead guitar. Have played around with the guitar for about 30 years now, and still enjoy it, though don't get to it as often. One thing about playing an instrument--you gain a true appreciation for just how good the real experts are.

I play acoustic and some electric guitar and harmonica

Pride myself for introducing the 2 Capo method to everyone I meet (mostly...)

I played Alto Sax in grade 7 & 8. I want My daughter to play Violin, I may start with her and than move on to chello, my favorite sounding instrument. Had a string quartet at my wedding, was just too cool. I don't think I could ever get into the rock music although I love to listen. Jazz and mostly clasical has really helped with the road rage.

I had a killer East Bay funk cover band called "Joint Chiefs". Yes, I would say their name is aprapos. My favorite song from them is Stevie Wonder's "I Wish".

Any Bay Area folks seen these guys?

Sorry! Sorry! Now I know where you get your handle. It's not cuz you can keep a beat that's for sure. No, you're a task-master! Or a master of bation. Something like that.

So you like fishing? What kind of bait?

Oops, sorry. Stay on topic. I must be some kind of 4-string wad of band fodder.

I used to play bass in a band (lots of bass players here). But also play guitar pretty well, a little keys, fiddle and mandolin (which is just a fiddle with frets), I also sing probably better than I play an instrument, and write music and I’m a pretty good producer.

Robby,

I produce as well. Do you have any mp3 sample clips of your work or a website I can download from?

I think my sbcglobal can take up to 10 or 20 megs but if you have anything around say 1MB, I'd love to hear it.

I play the guitar, but after you hear me play, you might not think so. And I'm pretty dandy with a harmonica, my dad taught me.

I started off with piano, but loss interest in that after a few years. I switched to the tenor sax in elementary school I then progressed to the trumphet the next year, and then baritone later on that year. I settled on the tuba after the high school band director came to junior high and persuaded me to switch. I was really good too, but ended up quitting when the band director made me decide between playing basketball and band. He wanted me for the pep band to play at the basketball games and to travel at competitions. Like marching band wasn't enough travel for us. Hell we were gone every weekend during the fall at one competition or another.

Now, I am kicking myself for dropping all instruments. I could have gone to college on a full scholarship, but let my emotions get the best of me at that time.

Age 8: 1st guitar
12: accordian
14: piano
20: drums

Owned a bass for a year, but couldn't get behind it. Used to play the drums semi-pro, but I'll always have a guitar.

Check out the Jerzee video - full.

Don't care for the name, but I guess that's their "target audience". They've got a great sense of humor though..."Can you pick us up?"and their version of that horse-faced Celine Dion's "Titanic" neverending ballad is funny stuff!

As a kid on the farm, the family could only afford a swine-ette, but later I graduated to keyboard and play a passable grade of wave-like jazz. Maybe we should have a musical herf.
