X, if I could be sure that these really are what they say, and not just another Perdomo "fresh rolled" bundle I'd jump at them. But the ad says no label, no band, etc. etc.

I'm interested, but are these last months' production?
When the P2 came out I really didn't like them fresh.Too bad I'm away from home, where I have a couple of aged pressed ones.Someone please post on these after trying them.

Bet they sell better than Corps Diplomatique, even if they are dripping wet.

I believe the flaw in the smokes is, that they didnt get box pressed. How the heck do you forget to do that on a smoke that is named after the process.

In the Perdomo 2 name, the 2 means square(box pressed)...hehe!... :>)

I got a bundel of the maddies.

What Mag said. They are supposed to be the exact same cigar, not seconds. They are just not box pressed.

They FORGOT to press them??
Did they also "forget" to put bands on them? Or pack them into boxes?

CBid is a respectable establishment. These smokes may indeed be the "exact same" cigar, but there is no way sombody simply forgot to box-press them.

Sounds like their marketing is falling into the same category as other cigar retailers who spin a tale to explain a low price or overstocked item.

I've seen too many "victims of the cigar boom" in the recent CI catalogs. If I wanted that crap I'd buy from another place.

I like cbid and CI because of their fair prices and best-in-class service. I don't need to know WHY a cigar is low priced.
Especially if the story raises more questions than it answers.

At least CB/CI doesn't try to say Bad Frogs are a premium, high-quality cigar in the auction descriptions, lol.

I've seen cases where manufacturers forgot to put the cigars in the boxes, sealed them up, and shipped them out. Things never cease to surprise me.

How come there are no box-pressed Connies?

Someone who has ordered these may receive them Saturday,so I'll wait for a review.

Just got delivery. They look pretty good. At work now, didn't open bundle but they look a little thinner than 55 ring. But maybe I'm wrong...

Anyone else ??

Btw, does the box press affect the ring size??? LOL

Q: Does the box press affect the ring size?

If they are a real box press, they begin larger, and the press compresses the size.

Got mine. Same color. Same smell. Same look except not pressed. and... Same smoke. Didn't even let it set for a while and I am positive this is the same cigar. Going to be a great addition to a daily (ie cheapy) smoke in my line-up.

Smoked one last night and all I can say is Wow. The finish was a little rough. The cigar burnt very well and tasted pretty good right at the light. It held a nice ash. I smoked it till it was a nub. They sure won't go to waste or stay all that long in the humidor. I will try to save some so they get a little age on them. I am looking forward to smoking my next one.......Ah maybe this morning with a large Iced coffee

Sorry still a rookie. Please explain purging. Smoked another one of these yesterday and all I can say is I like em. Didn't purge today either. The only purging I heard of was people with eating disorders. Enlighten Me
