Do you want it cold? Never heard that one before. It's just liquid.

Don't really see any advantage or disadvantage with either hot or cold. One thing I might mention, without the intent to hijack this thread, is that ready mixed PCP tends to be extremely expensive. My understanding is that there are resources where you can buy PCP in quanity, such as pints, quarts, etc., and add distilled water to make your own for a fraction of the costs. Unfortunately, any pharmacist I have ever broached the subject with has no real idea what I am talking about. Has anyone established a resource to buy PCP in bulk?

There is a company that sell it by the 5 gallons, it a safer propylene glycol solution with which you can mix with 50% distilled water to make your common "humidor juice" as for the frige, PG solution is actually anit-freeze you put in your car (but not the same strenght) As in a radiator, when the temp it too high, the anti-freeze brings it down, and when too cold, brings it up. Thats why you water in your radiator doesn't freeze when the outside temp reaches freezing. So I wouldnt but your juice in the frige. Just my opinion.

While its not bad to be able to mix you're PC Solution you must take into affect that you cannot just mix 50/50 with Distilled water by going by liquid measurement you must go by weight which is a little bit trickier. Here is a website that sells PC Solution and tips on how to mix it.

Although you end up making a 51/49 solution does it really matter? Just curious.

That of course should be pgp or pg. Definitely stay away from the pcp. Thanks for the posts. I went ahead and ordered a gallon from the link. Don't think 51/49 as opposed to 50/50 will make any difference. Thanks again.

Just to ensure that nobody poisons themselves, PG is not antifreeze you put in your car. That's ethylene glycol; it kills animals that lick it up when it's left spilled on the driveway. (BTW, antifreeze doesn't change the temperature up or down of your radiator fluid.)

Just My two cents. Automotive anti-freeze is used to (Duh) keep Your cooling system from freezing. Anti-freeze is great at not freezing, not real good at transferring heat. Water of course freezes but transfers heat very well. That's why You mix them.
Some people mistakenly use pure anti-freeze and wonder why their cars overheat.

The old green antifreeze is ethylene glycol. The new late model stuff is propylene glycol.

Sorry to be a "Claven" but 30+ years in the automotive business can do that to You.
