After lurking for a while, I'd thought I'd pop in and say hi. The boards here remind me of a few others I frequent, a friendly menagere of folks.

First off, I notice a bunch of servicemen in the group and I have to tip my hats off to you all. I applaud your efforts to preserve our way of life and perhaps create new ways of life for those in other lands. Having known quite a few service personnel (Navy, and Marines, not to mention a couple of Westies and Rangers and Seals), I know the sacrifice each of you make and I have to say thanks. I know some days it may be hard to drag your tired butt out at zero dark thirty while I'm still sleeping just to clear the flightline or go on patrol, but you all get a thanks and probably a beer or cigar (or both) from me when the opportunity presents itself.

Here's a shot of the current contents of my humidor. Since most of my purchases are business entertainment purchases and therefore usually smoked right away, I don't have much more than a bunch of singles. I just got done with a box pass with some Home Theater buddies and filled it up a bit.

**EDIT (I realized the Photo was too big so I'll post that later) ****

Between Home Theater, Golf, Boating, Scotch and Cigars, it's a wonder I have any money left over.

If you guys are anything like some of my other internet friends, you'll surely help me spend my money.
PS: After taking inventory of my wifes business (READ HOBBY) supplies, I let her get the upper hand and it's going to take more than a few benjamins to catch up.

I'm your typical account manager (sales puke)calling on one of the larger retailers in the nation. I've been pretty lucky to work for a couple of top notch companies. Client Golf is one of my favorite hobbies since the weekends are all about the family.

After overpaying too much for cigars, I'm finally getting wise to the various sources for better than retail.
I don't smoke too many cigars, sometimes 2-3 week and sometimes 1 a month avg. But I do want to start keeping a few around as I tend to bbq a lot in the short summer and freinds like to raid thngs (note to self, the Blantons and the Talisker are to be hidden). BBQ'ing is almost another hobby of mine, at least my wife would say when the Copper River Salmon are running.
Perhaps down the road I can finagle a couple of you into some trades, but for now I'll observe, take notes, and have fun.

Welcome MiniFan,

Bid low.
Let some get away.
Keep CI's page open for comparison.
Contact cust. serv. before you post negative remarks here.

My newbie status must be waning by now, my welcomes are getting shorter.

Oh yeah, send Robby some freakin' matches please! = )

Welcome aboard Mini!

Bid low, and bid on all of the Padron Maddies that you want. Homebrew's bark is much worse than his bite!!

As a matter of fact, we like to bid the prices up just to drive Homebrew nuts! ;-)

Mini...

Welcome. I'm still sorta new myself. I can tell you that the way I felt the love from the board was to jump into the trade scene. You can really broaden your stash and interact with some good people. Everyone I have worked with has been very generous.

Thanks all,
DED, Mini Fan as in Mini Cooper (S to be precise), I'm being told I'm probably getting one of the first 04's, but you know sales people..........

ALTHOUGH, My wife does look GREAT in a mini, and I'm not talking about the cooper.

Robby, no doubt on the coolerdor. My humi now handles about 75 and I have about 35 now(?), but I haven't ordered any boxes yet. I am a little concerned about the boss, aka the so, athough if I "stock up" too much or fast. When I suggested one time that I wanted a pc of Home THeater gear for a gift and it was pricey and her response was go ahead and get it,,,I had the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I got nervous...Some of you know EXACTLY what I mean.

Charlie, sketcha, good advice, I've missed out on a few cars with that philosophy..Why pay more than you have too.

BMW,Homebrew, if i've smoked several nundred cigars in my life, I'd say Padron's accounted for about 40-50, I'm a big Padron fan.

As far as the rest of ya,,thanks for the welcome.

I spent the afternoon hanging out with my father on the front porch nursing a RyJ while my father had the MC #2. My ISOM stash is dwindling, but hey, they aren't there to show off.

Later,
Rob aka MiniFan

Nice to have ya... I think you'll fit right in...

BTW ignore the Board titles - those don't mean anything - you can post just about anything under Cigars and Related... right Slim?????
