My wife bought me a OpusX yesterday, I guess I was a good boy, it cost $21.95 at my local tobacco store and had a limit of 2 per day. But at that price I think once a year on my birthday or such. I kept the band in case I have to many brandys, I can slip it onto a lesser brand in my humidors and fantasize....

Ouch! That's an expensive shop you've got there. They shouldn't cost that much, but you've got to take what you can get if you really want it. (I just paid $20.50 for a Padron 1926 #1 last night but I justified it with my 23rd wedding anni. coming next weekend.)

Yeah, not to rub it in but I picked up a couple FFOX for half that much. I guess we've got some things pretty good in TX. What state are you in?

I also grabbed one of the PAN '26 (limit 1 per customer:( but I probably couldn't afford more anyway).

Happy Anniversary Barry, Was checking on the web and the lowest price for the OpusX #2 was $32.95, as for boxes of them, you needed to visit their retail store, could not oder them by mail. Also the Padron 1926 #1 had a price of $15.00 to $20.00. I'm in the state of California.

Wer, if you got the OpusX at half the price and in Texas, I think you should visit this site. http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Static/Counterfeit/count_oxpage2.html

Thanks SP,

When the Opus are around here they go for $9 to $18 depending on the size. $20.50 for the Padron 1926 #1 hurt a little but I've only seen them locally twice. You've got to get what you can, when you can, for what ever it costs if you really want it.

When I brought the 1926 home and showed my wife what I bought for our anni., she said, "You'd better smoke it!". She knows that when I only have 1 of a cherished smoke, I have a tendency to save it until I get another.

SP, they're the real deal. Barry and I go to the same shop. I bought smaller ones (can't remember the vitola) which may partially account for the price discrepancy.

I get mine at my local shop (which is a national franchise) at MSRP, got a few power rangers for 9.85. They've had them the last few times I've been in there. I have about 6 sleepin right now. I'm spoiled in missouri, I guess.

Oh well, live and learn.........But I'm sure if they were on here for bid, someone would pay $60.00 (LOL)
I have Gurkha's that I got for $10.00 a stick, and I've seen it bidding for $36.00. Thanks for the info, I still cherish my Ashton Cabinets and AVO, so I won't pay that price for the xXx again.

Me and Godfather are lucky. Our local tobacconist usually has everything at least a dollar or two below MSRP.

CBids is still cheaper, but I patronize my local guy's shop anyway because he's a good man and carries some things CBid doesn't.

He's still trying to get an OpusX account with Fuente, but they're totally dicking him over because they want to keep the Oppies exclusive and all that BS.
