I started smoking cigars about 2 years ago and I think I have tried almost every brand that is available in the US… from crappy to the wonderful and hard to find Opus X. But I have yet to sample the golden fleece of the cigar world... I have yet to have a Cuban cigar. I would love to try a Cuban Cohiba, or H Upmann or Monte Cristo but alas the US is still enforcing an embargo. If hypothetically one wanted to get some Cuban cigars at a good price without going to jail or paying $100 a stick where might one go to get such cigars :). Thanks in advance to fellow cigar lovers.

Since we are talking about something that is illegal, information about hypothetically purchasing cuban cigars cannot be posted on this board. If you post your email address, some members who are well versed on this subject may email some hypothetical information.

Hypothetically, I have never hypothetically purchased, comtemplated obtaining, had the thought cross my mind, or smoked, an ISOM, hypothetical, or otherwise!

I suppose that given the nature of the responses, it would be an easy thing to have done but I'd say you've looked past a serious response ... go back and reread smithbw's suggestion and give it a try ... what could you possibly lose ??

Sorry byrnekj, you're getting some frivolous responses (including mine!) to a serious post. As a rule any post regarding hard info on cubans is going to meet similar responses. I have no real information to provide as I am in a position to obtain ISOMs, legally, in person, outside the US in my travels. And I understand that you would like to benefit from the experience of others in terms of reasonable prices, avoiding fakes/ripoffs, etc. You need to correspond regarding this matter with individual emails only, and I think you'll find that most folks will provide you with the benefit of their experiences.

Assuming, of course, hypothetically, that they have any experiences!
