I am fully aware that this is probably a very stupid question, but what is the deal with these?
They forget to let them dry?
Are they any good?
My mind is saying "not a chance", my curiousity is saying, "You gotta try one."

If by green, you mean green tobacco (not literally green, but underaged), then they're nasty and need to rest in the humi for several months before they taste better

If by green, you mean literally green, then you must be talking about cigars with a candela (also called double claro or American Market Selection [AMS]) wrapper.

I've wanted to try a candela, but I can never find them in my area. Not many candelas are made, but 100 years ago, the candela wrapper was the favored wrapper leaf of most American smokers (hence it was sometimes refered to as AMS).

People who like them say they are very sweet and mild.

People who hate them say they are bland and tasteless.

It's your call. But since you seem to like milder smokes (like the Baccarats I recommend to you), then I think you might like them.

Never hurts to try new things.

Yep, green as in color.
I'll have to see about getting a few and try them.
Just gonna have to get passed the color. :)
It'd be like eating green eggs. LOL!

I've had the Don Tomas candela and I thought it was pretty decent. Mild, sightly sweet... I prefer my cigars more spicy and full flavored, but it was a nice morning cigar... I would try the AF's...

The Green Hero by Drew Estates is really good. But that isn't a green colored cigar. Its just called green.

No need to go back 100 years to find a great number of candelas ... 30-40 years will do ... when I was young, they were the most commonly seen cigar ... in fact, the first cigar I ever smoked was a candela ...

I most recently tried one a couple of years ago when my nephew gave one to me ... let's just say that it was nice and thoughtful of him to have given me a smoke ...

But you never know ... you might like 'em ... lots of guys do and CI sells 'em ... they're even up for bid here pretty regularly

Fuente has some 8-5-8 candelas. I had a few of them and thought they were decent. I also have some Don Tomas candelas in the humi and I think they are pretty decent.

I say get a 5-pack and sample them. If you dont like them, I'm sure you can get rid of them on the trades board.

Used to smoke the Candela wrapper a lot. Kind of out of favor right now. Hard to describe the taste, but not bad really. Usually associated with a mild bodied cigar but I've had some that I would classify as medium to full. Just have to try it and see if it agrees with you. Remember, the Candela wrapper can contain any type of filler tobacco and just imparts it's own unique flavor to the overall cigar taste.

Light green Candela wrappers used to be extremely popular in this country,so much so that Candela became known as AMS(American Market Selection).Declining in popularity during the 1930*S and *40s,most cigar makers used it only in limited runs(or stopped using it entirely). Although there has been a resurgence in the past few years,Candela will probably never reach that level of popularity again.

Q. Why can't Miss Piggy count to 70?
A. When she comes to 69 she gets a frog in her throat.
