As you may remember from a previous post, Godfather and myself have been banned under shady circumstances from our local cigar shop.

But it looks like God was smiling on us...because they day that happen, Godfather discovered a new place.

Across the river in Louisville KY, he found a small, but great, lil smoke shop!

I went there today. The owner (Sheena, the only female cigar smoker I've ever met) was super nice to us...and get this!

They carry the coveted Padron Anniversary Maduro! I was stoked! Along with that, they sell the 4000 (5000? Whatever, you know what I mean). They carry Punch Gran Cru, Fuente Hemis, Bolivar, Red Dot Cohiba, Zino, Avo, Dunhill, tons of Indian Tabacs, tons of CAO, tons of Fuente (including La Unica, Montesino, etc.), and all kinds of other stuff that either wasn't carried at our former store (before the falling out) or wasn't in great numbers.

Maybe with some of these PAMs, I can finally trade for some OpusX!

Hey Man,
Never would have discovered that shop, if you wouldn't have been barred from the other. Looks like you were in a rut, and finally got out. Welcome back into the light. Try and not limit yourself to 1 local shop. I have 2 that I frequent, though "Local" is a relative term, 1 is 25 miles away, the other is 60 miles away. Neither had PAMs or Opus, but both have a nice inventory of A.F. Hemi's Don Carlos etc.

Oh I DEFINITELY will smoke some of the PAMs, but I still wanna try OpusX as well.

Also, the first day we come in there, she was ordering new stock, and she put in an order for LGC Serie R for me! How cool is that?

I also gave her the addy for the [horribly-designed] Bucanero website. I told her how good everyone says they are, and I knew from looking at the site that you could email the owner of Bucanero Cigars himself.

I'm crossing my fingers that she'll start carrying some Bucs!

Ed, I think those are actually "Pamopus" and are native to Austrailia.

This new place is over Louisville on Bardstown Rd. It is called Blair's. They carry everything from PAM to Zino. We are going over there today later on ( probably about 5 or 6) If you want to get together one day call my cell phone. (812) 989- 9226 ask for Christopher.

If they carry such a decent line, there is a good chance they will carry they OpusX when they come out, so you can simply buy some.

Soo.... since you're advertising for this new shop here on Cbid.... are you going to tell everyone at the shop about this great online site where they can get the best deals?????

..... you might want to take some conversations offline...

Actually I when I was talking to the owner the first time I mentioned cigarbid.com several times and mentioned many of their products. They do not carry Opus X and also I only buy there what cigarbid does not have. I only mentioned the PAM and Zino . And also that is why I put my cell phone number down so we can continue this offline. If you read the past post Dan and I have put on was that another cigar shop has done a great injustie. This was just a follow up and plus I only know of one other Cigarbid.com member that is in my area hence the herf idea.

God I am going on and on today but also I am sure everyone else that is a member goes to a local shop for cigar that cigarbid.com does not carry. Plus we live in a capitalist society ( though I do not agree with the whole idea) and cigarbid.com is going to have competitors. I don't see how I can get in trouble for mentioning a place were I go and have a cigar once or twice a week and but stuff there that cigarbid.com does not have.

Also I dunno about everyone else put I got started smoking by a local shop near me anyway. If I wouldn't have started there I would have never gotten to cigarbid.com. Also Dan (Ikonoklast7) is the one that mentioned all the brands.

godfather1453406 --- your are doing fine, as long as you don't break the rules of our host ... and post the name and location of the shop ...

... which you didn't.

Obviously ... they know people shop at other places to get get cigars, and I don't think tey really have an issue with that. They just don't allow that info to be posted in their forums ... ;^)

He did Slim, look up a few posts and you'll see

This new place is over ***) on **** Rd. It is called ****

(the editing is mine to save Cbid the trouble of having to change it here as well as above)

Oops ... I read down farther, so I guess you did 'break the rules' and post the name and location ...

... live and learn!

One ot the reasons they do not allow this, is just because the shop may carry cigars or accessories that CI/CB dosen't carry ... they also have in stock at their location many more items that they DO carry ...

... and that is considered competition ... and since these forums are on their retail site, they simply do not want that information posted here.

If you do a seaech, I believe you will find at least 6 lots available on cigarbid.com for these.

Retail will vary, depending on were you live ...

godfather1453406 --- the bottom line is ... we do not post competition to CBID or Cigars International on these forums ... out of RESPECT for our hosts. The mentioning of cigar brands is perfectly fine ... unless they are a 'house brand' that names the competition.

For the most part, everyone else who posts here abides by that ... and it's been that way for years.

Since you already said, "I would also like to say sorry a head of time for anyone that takes this the wrong way for it was not meant for that ...", I don't think you will be doing it again.

So everyone ... let's just let it go ... I think everyone involved understands the point being made.
