I am looking for a nice mellow cigar preferably something with a vanilla or chocolate flavor. Does anyone have any good suggestions on what brand to buy? I am new at buying "NICE" cigars for enjoyment and have been smoking cheap Swisher Sweets since my wife hates cigarette smell.

I'm not a big fan of flavored cigars but I received a couple of the CAO flavored cigars in a trade a while ago and they were actually pretty good. Then again just about every CAO cigar I've had has been pretty good.

I would agree with the CAO.
CAO Gold Honey and CAO Bella Vanilla are actually quite good and I have heard that the CAO Moontrance is pretty good.

Out of the CAO flavours, the Moontrance is the best IMHO.

Why do you want a flavored cigar? Have you tried one? I used to seek out flavored cigars b/c the few "nicer" cigars that I tried didn't really sit well with me, but the flavored cigars tasted too artificial. Then I tried some of the milder cigars of the well known brands like Macanudo, Ashton, Punch and La Flor Dominicana. I began to develop a "taste" for the more well-made, hand-rolled cigars, and then graduated to the other well known brands like Padron, Arturo Fuente, Romeo y Julieta and CAO. But if you've already tried flavored and that's what you like, then 'to each his own'....

Just my two cents....

My girlfriend smokes the CAO cigars. Her favorite is the moontrance which has a very nice aroma.

Though not really "flavored" if you are looking for something with a nica aroma, try some Acids. They are made differently than regualr cigars (aging process), but I couldn't do the explanation justice, so I'll leave that up to some who knows more.

I think the CAO Bella Vanilla Corona is excellent. I gave one to my sceptical brother-in-law (a dedicated stogie smoker for over 15 years), and he was so blown away he ordered a whole box.
The CAO Moontrace Corona also is smokable, but the petite corona was a little too harsh. I think the extra size of the corona helped cool it off.

The CAO flavours are great, but if you are looking for something that has more of a sweet taste.
I found something called Heavenly Cigars and they are the best sweet flavored cigars I have ever had. I do like them.
Second after them would be a Cojimor. These are really good too. I started out with the flavored and still like them because...........
they taste good. There I said it. I started out only wanted the flavored but have graduated up somewhat to other cigars due to the great guys on this board.

Tobacco is a flavor with nuances of nuts, coffee, choclate, and spices to name a few. Put down the Swisher Sweets and step up to a real cigar. If it's aroma therapy you want, buy some inscence. lol

Macanudo is a good mild starter cigar. The Baccarat is mild, cheap and has a sweet tip. Start with mild, try as much variety as possible and experiment with different flavor profiles. That's half the fun of smoking cigars.

I wouldn't stray too far from CAO or perhaps Mayorga Coffee infused. Maybe the Acid lines. Many flavored cigars are harsh, cheap scrap tobaccos and the flavor is to cover up the horrible taste/smell (which it doesn't accomplish).

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'll go get some of the ones suggested here, and the reason I want to try the flavored cigars is mostly for the aroma, my wife can put up with a nice smelling cigar but otherwise hates the smell of tobacco. I even thought about lighting pipe tobacco to cover up the smell of some of my cigars.
