It's nice to see the CI forum grow like it has. I enjoy reading the new postings which are becoming more and more frequent. Seems like everyone involved genuinely cares about the cigars they smoke and are not like the SKIPPY Da' PUNKS that smoked cigars just to be cool during the cigar boom. My favorite smokes doubled or tripled during the boom!! So more power to the true cigar afficianados and CI for l=helping to lower the cost. At some time we might even be able to have an online chat here at CI. Keep up the good work. -Dan from Littleton

you may not believe this as most of you may think I am some old fart that has been smoking cigars even before most of you were a twinkle in your parent's eyes, but actually I started smoking cigars as the boom was ending (I am no bandwagon type, and I have been a Yankees fan since the day I was born 36 years ago) so I didn't have to suffer through the shortages paying extortion amounts for riff raff cigars. Anyway I have read every piece of information I could get my hands on, countless books, articles and magazines, etc... (I think I have a point to all this, we'll see) I am very happy with how the cigar market is now, great cigars are plentiful, and the price is right. But this forum is the first opportunity I have really had to share my thoughts and ideas about cigars, as none of my friends smoke cigars, it has been a lonely endeavor on my behalf, so that is one reason why I am around here so much and have made it a part of my daily routine. I am in this for life, I smoke on average two cigars a day, and I have a three year supply on hand as I write, and for me the cigars will only get better as eventually everything I smoke will have been aged at least two years. (still don't know if there was any point to this, I would submit mostly self indulgence)

I have been smoking cigars since I was 14 while everyone else was puffing away on cigarettes to get their fix.No one that I have ever known since then has come on over to my side to discover what tobacco should be.It was and still is for cigarette smokers only about the fix-little else matters.Cigars can indeed be a lonely endeavor and there are no smoke breaks for us.

...and I walk to work in the snow, bare foot and uphill, while smoking a cigar. Come on guys....what are you saying here?

To address the first comment: I think this site has potential.A little less banter and a little more useful cigar info would really help some people out. I know these sites are made for those who love to BS all day, and I can appreciate that. I guess for me, I would be more interested in hearing about more cigar facts...ratings..hot cigars etc...

I can do without all the mush crap that goes on here sometimes. I guess it's all subjective.

sellnmony - I was just reminded of KOA and Lou from Littleton. Do you know what I'm talking about?

I grew up in Denver and just moved to SF 6 months ago...

That guy sounds like the people who complain about the content of shows on cable television. If you don't like the show, change the channel.

Hey, look at the date of this thread. This goes way back when this board was pretty new. And you have to understand Wanyburger; that's his personality. No offense was taken back then.

Who dug this one up? Wany is around and pops in to drop a few words of wisdom or when the Yankees do something good! Haven't heard from him since the Angels disposed of the "Best team money can buy"!

This is a great forum, consisting of some of the best folks from all walks of life-Happy Holidays to all of you and Merry Christmas!
