This morning I was digging deep in my humidor and I came up with a Hoya de Monterrey, not the Excaliber, not the 1066, but a routine, run-of-the-mill Hoya. Probably had been aged for at least 2-3 years. I had really forgotten how good they actually are, because I haven't smoked one in so long. If you have any buried in your humi, you might want to dig it out and give it another try. Mine was a maduro and I haven't smoked a cigar so good in a long time. Just a bit of nostalgia I guess.........

I have had the same experiance. I have 10 Hoyo "rothchild" Maduros left from a box of 50 from Feb/02 sitting in my humi. With a little age this is a excellent smoke.

Had a roth a few weeks ago that I'm still thinking about. Must have been the lowest I ever nubbed a cigar. My buddies couldn't believe I was still smoking it but it was just too good to put down. If it wasn't for the 2nd degree burns on my fingers I would have kept it going longer. LOL

With a little age a great smoke for the price.

Great cigars. I love their double maduros especially in the double corona and the Super Hoyo sizes. These never leave my regular rotation. During a round of golf one of my 3 cigars that I smoke is always a Hoyo dub dub.
