I had never had one. I have had the Black Pearls, but was not a big fan, even though many others really like them, they're just not for me.

The regular La Perla Madie though is very nice. I particularly enjoy it. And they're probably less money, go figure.

I had my 1st one a few months ago. My thoughts were,it's not a bad cigar by any means but not as great as some here would have you believe. I have the rest napping and will try them from time to time to see if my opinion changes. It has changed many times on many cigars that I tried and didn't like the 1st time. X

My favorite 'go to' cigar lately has been the 'La Perla Habana Perfecto Maduro' ... and the box I just recently won ... is down to one ...

... I'm not sure why, except for the fact that the are a small cigar that really satisfies ...

I like these a lot. They are one of those cigars that's better at 65% rather than 70% humidity. It can build a strong ash too.

The Torp Maduros are my favorite of the line followed by the Torp Naturals, didn't care for the Blonde at all for some reason but I've only smoked one so the jury still out on that one.The Toros in Maduro and Natural are good smokes as well but I find the perfectos to be almost dry tasting and flavorless.

La Perla Classic Toros are my favorite. I have tried the Maduro and was not as please as I have been with the Toro. The rest are in the humidor for some seasoning time at which time I will try again. As it was said before, first impressions can be wrong and some time in the box can make a world of difference. I am looking forward for a more enjoyable smoke in the near future from the Maduro. I am very hopful.

The La Perla Maduro is a good smoke. I prefer the Black Pearls, but thats just my preference. I keep both in my humi.

The regular La Perla Madie is a much less expensive smoke... :>)
