This was a tough week...good to be home.

Took the wife and kids to Rancho Murrietta (CA) for a 4H horse show. Followed it up with a trip to Cal Expo (State Fair) for another horse show. Our oldest showed her horse and did pretty good.

The only downside for me was my attempt to find 15-20 kidless minutes to sneak in a cigar. I even brought a good supply of shorties to make it easier.

First thing, I was busting my butt all week and couldn't find much free time.

Second thing, I was constantly surround by young people where I considered it a non smoking environment (and 4H rules prohibit it).

Third thing there was a lack of men there. A few Dads here and there, but none to share a beer and a cigar with. Usually our adult social nights were filled with female non smokers and teenagers popping in and out of our social time.

Well, I guess there are actually some things more important than finding time to have a smoke. Funny thing was, I hardly had time to miss it....till now.

My reward, after parking the RV in the front of the house was about 1 1/2 hrs of a cigar and a couple martini's. Wife stayed inside...just me and the stars and a nice cloud of smoke.

Been there without a chance to enjoy the cigar. It's good that your wife understands the need to relax cigar-style. Being a good dad had it's own rewards too and I'm glad you are doing that. Good job.
