I need to gripe a bit after reading the previous post...I very rarely can smoke in the house and don't like to smoke outside considering it's currently 19 degrees and snowing...So, being I live in the southern burbs of Chicago, I knew of ONE cigar shop with a lounge and thought that I'd take a little ride over there to smoke...I get there and unbeknownst to me, they have taken half their cigar displays out and put in a FRIGGIN wine display, removed the nice lounge completely, and changed their %^&**( name to So and So CIgar AND WINE SHOPPE!!!..So, unfortunately, the only cigar shops that have a smoking lounge (TWO to be exact) are both located in the North burbs of Chicago, a good 1-1/2 hours away!...What happened?..Since the boom ended, its been unbelievably tough to find a good smoke shop with a place to enjoy your purchases...Anyone else notice this in their regions?..I ws plenty P.O'd yesterday!...Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Please don't let all this anti-smoking stuff creep into Texas any more than it already has. Luckily, I have a "Fox and Hound" restaurant and bar just two minutes from my house (three minutes when you're driving back, after 3 schooners) and they have their own CIGAR smoking room. Cigars aren't just tolerated there, they're WELCOMED. What a strange concept, huh? I have a few friends here locally; we meet every week or so for Monday Night Football (even a big screen!) or just general B.S. I didn't realize just how lucky I am until reading some of the posts here. Come see me, guys, whenever you're passing through this way! You, too, Bill and Brent; just don't tell my friends you're of the Democratic kind. Ha! Just a-kiddin'!

Rookie, can't you smoke in the garage at least? Get you a space heater, and it isn't so bad, I don't really like smoking in public anyway except when I go bowling, I like the privacy with my cigar. Also what the hell, get in your car and turn on the heater and puff away there! Once though it was so cold last winter, about 20 below outside when I sat in the garage, and I could not keep the cigar going it was so cold! It was turning into an icicle in front of my eyes!

I live in an apartment, so smoking in a garage is out of the question...I have been smoking in my car, which works OK...And, Rick, I agree about the change in the name to "shopPE"..Theyre attempting to cater to the yuppie trash by that and the addition of the wine section and getting rid of their lounge and half their smokes..The place sucks anyway...Its one of those places that carry the same crap, the same "everyday" brands such as Montecristo, Macanudo, Partagas...No CAO, Bahia, Perdomo, etc...and theyre prices are way too high for the crap they sell..I just wanted to find a place to smoke
