Every tiem I visit my loca store I see two boxes of Diamond Crowns (1 Natural and 1 Maduro). They are BIG with a fat ring guage and are a figurado looking similar to a Punch Champion or Hemmingway Work of Art. Fat foot and thinner head. I keep wanting to buy onw but they are around $15 and the store says they will be disappointingly mild for me. Anyone out there had one of these?

Diamond Crowns are the Opus X West of the Mississippi - same blend but with a double fermented wrapper - the entire regular DC line is a 54 Ring as you observed. All offerings in this line are absolutely top shelf cigars --- they are as smooth and creamy a smoke as you will ever enjoy. The cigar almost smokes itself.

These are the PERFECT mid-afternoon or home from work smoke --never had a bad one !!!!

The cigar you write of at $15 is a "little" on the pricey side but still a fair price (you will do better by the box - but as a single you are in the ball park.) Try this and tell him you want a No. 7 (Torpedo) in both Nat and Maduro --- It doesn't get any better in the Dom Rep type os cigars. ENJOY !!!!
