I've been putting my loose cigars in a variety of wooden cigar boxes, from Cbid and elsewhere, figured it was better to keep them next to some spanish cedar rather than loose. One of the boxes I got was an ACID. As I was sorting cigars to box size (didn't "sniff" out hte box first) I placed some good premiums (non-aeromatic) in the Acid box, shut it up and kept the cigars in it over night before I realized I may have really messed up. After about 12-14 hours (overnight)in the Acid box I removed them, but they already stunk (I don't particularly enjoy aeromatics). I immediately removed them, let them set out for about a half a day before getting them into some natural spanish cedar. As of this afternoon they still had the Acid smell attached to them. Haven't smoked one yet. Anyone else pull a bonehead move like this? Or more to the point, any suggestions for getting them back to "natural"? (I hate the thought of possibly ruining my stash of La Perla Blacks Pearls.) I know, I know, what a bonehead move.
