If you haven't seen this yet, do. Not only is it a throw back to the good old moral westerns of the past, there's a cigar reference as well. Duvall's character buys 3 "of your best cigars" from the local general store, fresh in from Havana Cuba. He keeps one, gives one to his sidekick (Kevin Costner) and gifts one to the Livery owner/ operator for being a friend. During "the shootout" the livery hand gets hurt, but when asked he says it had been awhile since he was in a gun fight, panicked and stumbled, and besides, the "Cuban got his head swimmin". A nice bit of BOTL bonding there.
